I understand that pu-la is slang for penis in Russian (I think). In any case, I see no reason why it should be censored. The forums are all English anyway.
To take this a bit further, if we start censoring foreign curse words, where do we draw the line? If all swear words from all languages were censored, there'd barely be a string of letters that would be allowed.
Good point, someone tried to make a forum game and in its description it said popu.lation and it got censored and became unreadable. Spacing out each letter to avoid censorship works but becomes monotonous after a while. Then again, what if some Russian people started joining the forums? I know it's highly unlikely but it's possible.

What if they did? According to the rules of the site, the forums are supposed to be explicitly English. So they'd just have to speak English, like everyone else.
A russian slang to penis is censored but the more often used dutch slang to penis (Lul) isn't mostly becouse 99% of you that use it dont even know its a dutch slang for penis...
I don't understand the need to censoring so many words, as someone said (I can't remember his name) they aren't bad words with dirty meanings only dirty minds. So if someone wants to see swears he will see these words even though they are censored.
I'll use my internet powers to sign this petition! Okay, seriously, this is an english forum. If I wanted to I could learn some foul mouth ukarainian and no one would even know what I'm talking about.

Because the slang for it could be found offensive, while you cant go around calling someone a penis. Well you could, but I think it would be more funny than offensive. Or something.
