I hate how when Whites(Me) get "Shot up" because we say "Im proud to be white" (probably only an American thing) we get called racist, now I know That BIG-WHITE-SETH from youtube has covered this, but Its not racist to say "Im proud to be black" or If your "Gangsta" then (No offense intended) "Im proud to be a homeboi dawg" ok well back to topic.....whats up with that. Also I have a few black friends(via xbox live)

I think it's the way they grow up. I live in central Illinois, and the black people who live here are generally smarter than the ones who come from Chicago. The ones from Chicago spend their time stealing, don't care about school and such. When they come down here they can't shut up about how there's nothing to do, and that it was so much better in Chicago. But ya, it's about the environment you grow up in. If someone grows up in a home that stresses education, black or white, they're going to have more of a chance to be smarter.
Is the way people grow up, usually black have to work from a young age cause their are poorer than the majority of white. But if they have the opportunity and go to good schools are very smart, an example is Obama.
Its because whites have historically held themselves above blacks, so when you say "White pride" it seems like a "white power" kind of thing, and an attempt to bring back segregation...

You know, I have kind of noticed this. A few days ago i looked around for some answers to this kind of stuff, and this is the best i could get:
In short "Why is something labeled "White " racist but labeled "Black" not?". Simply put, blacks in the U.S have had no other identity other than race to identify themselves as a distinct people. Whites may trace their roots to many different ethnicities which give them a variety of labels other than race. Examples like "Irish Pub","Italian resturant","Jewish holiday","Armenian TV","French cuisine" are but a few. None are considered racist, although all are exclusively white. The label "Black" reflects the difficulty in tracing specific heritage to any one of the different peoples of Africa and is also but an adopted racial category introduced by Europeans. Formally Africans identified themselves by tribe, nation or clan, not by race. Thus the creation of the term "Afro-American" that better signifies heritage and is becoming more widely spread.
Both 'im proud to be white' or 'im proud to be black' are both forms of racism, although not to the degree that people think of racism as, because your proud to be white or black because you think your heritage is better then others. Now this isnt always a bad thing if it doesnt really have any effect on you or how you think of people. I mean Im Scandinavian and very proud of if but I dont really thing individual people who arent Scandinavian arent as good as me or are stupider or should have as many rights im just... proud I guess, see racist. Sorry.
Anyway i think the reason that people dont like it when you say "Im proud to be white" more then "im proud to be black" Is because historically speaking 'white pride' has led to some very bad things when compared to 'black pride'
Black has led to bad things to such as terrosit attacks and gangs. Also the black terriost group aka Black Panthers.
I will a large % of black people are uneducated, not all of them. Then few of the educated black people see a grab for power and easlily tiwst the mind of the uneducated to gain money and power.
They have ben slaves during lots of years by the White man. They were less than white man, so white man was more powerful and "evil" against the few black men.
Now, black men are few, but all people discriminates them in a positive way. If there happens something, and a black men is involved, because they're less, they use the fact of racism to cover theirselves, and win.
That's all true. I know people who voted to Obama just for be black.
