Okay, I dont know where to really put this, so I'll just put it here for now. __________ One of the Projects I've been working on is on how the subconcious relays us info, and our mind thinks it it real info. This can be seen quite commonly in numbers.
People have already proven that long chains of symbols or numbers can be memorized by cutting them down into units of 7 symbols or numbers, and then treating each group of 7 numbers. A good example of this is seen on survivor, where, although JT had the lead, another guy (with the glasses) memorized all 14 symbols and came from behind to win.
I didn't think much of it until I realized that the number '4' kept popping up in my life. Including me, I have 4 siblings (not parents) in my life. When I made a profile on Runescape, the last three numbers where '1-2-1'. 1+2+1=4. And the number in my profile on Armorgames is '4'.
I started doing experiments on friends, by asking them a question and the answer, and then randomly asking the question again a few weeks later. 4 out of 6 of the friends got the correct answer, and 3 of the said they guessed randomly.
I didn't fully realize what was happening until I begain reading 'The Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy', where one of the characters drew out all the tabs from a bag of home-made scrabble peices, and the letters made a sentence, of which the answer is '42'. It was then when I realized that I was on to somthing.
I then decided to see if this 'number-pattern' could be traced on the larger scale of generations. One friend of mine is one of three children. His father was one of six children, and his mother one of three children. 6+3=9, and the square root of nine is three.
Another user here, Kevindude6, has a YouTube account titled: 'ShadeDragon123'. 1+2+3 is 6, and the first profile has a '6' in it. This means that these numbers, 'Kevin' thought, were picked at random. What really happened was that 'Kevin's' sub-concious fed him these numbers, or a series of numbers, to get these results.
After seeing that, I gathered up all of my evidence and compiled it into this report.
If you experience anything similar to this, please, feel free to post it onto my profile or here, I would love to hear about it.
they're just numbers ppl. sure you think something is an amazing coincidence once in a while, but thats all it is; a coincidence.... OMG! the 4's are everywhere! there r 2 pages to this topic. 2x2=4! 8 game categories on this site. half of 8 is 4! and look at my user name! 7+2+6=14! there's a 4 in 14! there are 34 letters in the topic! there's a 4 in 34! there are 4 letters in DELL which is the comp im using! there are 4 letters in Wi-Fi, which i have! anyway, my point is that any number will seem to appear freaquently if looked for(no pun intended). even more so with low numbers like 4. i could start looking for 3's and find tons of them.
there are 4 letters in DELL which is the comp im using! there are 4 letters in Wi-Fi, which i have!
The point is that numbers that are entirely up to randomness keep appearing. If you don't have a reason for using a DELL and Wi-Fi, then it becomes relevant. Like my name BigP08, for example, can't apply. Somebody else named me BigP in grade school, so 4 isn't significant in my life, and even though 2*4=8, 08 is the year I created the account, 2008. My point is that if my number was 5, and I had to choose between something 5-related and something 7-related, AND there was no logical reason to choose one over the other, I would choose 5. But if I had to choose between skipping 5th period and 1st period (not that I would, but if I had to), I would choose 1st period because my teacher is insane, while my 5th period teacher is not. Anyway, I think the number theory might be interesting to observe, but it could only be used with things that don't involve other variables.
Wow... Extreme wave of headache occurring... Sorry, I just watched an episode of 'Baby Einstein's' with my niece... Made no sense at all... Numbers that have meaning in life and such... 13, my lucky number, my fav, and, arguably, the worst school-related year of my life. That's all I got...
You do realize that book is 100% fictional? You have gotten your facts from a fictional book, much like the christians.
I realize that the book is fake. When I read that, the whole sub-concious thing 'clicked'. It was then I started trying to conect numbers with my life, and I realized this.
If you look for the number and if you look hard enough, you will find it. You believe that you will find the number 4 in everything you do,thefore you will find the number 4 in everything that may be related to that number. But when something does not seem to relate to the number 4, you will sub-conciously disregard it. This way, the moments where 4 pops up will seem to happen all the time while the moments when 4 did not pop up will seem to never have happened.
Flite's basically right (except I think you used more words than needed to convey your opinion). ZOMG my real name is Sam and my screen name is clipmaster3 ZOMG!!!! No but really, this is all just a bunch of people's seeing what they want to see.

Yes, but it is the fact that the sub-concious stores these things. We get rid of them because they are unrelated, but the fact that a certain number stands out, and is stored by the concious is the fact that is amazing. It's the amount of times that a certain number pops up. All numbers can relate to your life, the lower the number the more of a chance this will happen. It is, like a said earlier, the ammount of times that a number happens, and its personal regard to you that is important. That, and the fact that the sub-concious even bothers to store them!

But it is the fact that the number relates to your personal life, and the reason why the sub-concious even stores them. Yes, you seem to be looking for them, but why are we looking for them? What makes the sub-concious store them, and what makes us realize that these numbers keep reacuring?
I dunno Its only Copyrighting if they copy it word for word. I've used published works to get help from, but you have to leave a little quote or somethings. And I doubt this is a new 'idea'. This could fall under Numerology.
Hmm...I've been wondering about this for a while too. The number 4 has popped up many times in my life. I am born on the 4th of February. There are 4 members in my family. My favourite number, 144(which also has 4's in it) divided by my second favourite number, 3, equals 48, which is divisible by 4. 48 divided by 4 equals 12, which is also divisible by 4. My username, Papi, has 4 letters in it. There are 4 syllables in my full username. This post is going to be my 180th post, which is also divisible by 4. And finally, before I post this, I have 468 AP, which is also divisible be 4.
