Hello. My bedroom is the coldest room in the house and someone keeps turning the thermostat down so that it is almost constantly running. I will turn the thermostat up, and an hour later I will be freezing cold and notice that the air conditioner is constantly running again - and every time I check the thermostat, someone always has it turned back down!
Has anybody else found themselves fighting a thermostat war? Is anybody else suffering at the hands of some one else's decision to control the inside temperature? I would like to know.
I'm in a thermostat war with nature and my mom. My mom likes it at 68, nature likes it at 85, and I can only stand 72-78. So ya, during the day it's 85, at night it's 68. I'm either cooking or freezing. So yeah. . . .
We need to have the air conditioner on. If we turn on the heat, our house will explode. Plus my body emits 105 degree Fahrenheit temperatures. I'm half volcano.
Well, when I lived at home, my mother usually asked me to turn it down, when she noticed. She did not change it herself, and I did not say anything about the other rooms. Usually turning it down at night, so I could sleep better, though. Now, I am more for saving money, so I won't put it up too much, as well as living in the city and on the first floor, so I have a bit of free warmth from that.
I usually shiver a lot in my house. I have no idea what my parents set the thermostat to. I think maybe 70 degrees. I can stand at most like 83 degrees.
My dad freaks if anyone takes it off 80 degrees and I hate it being that hot because I already live in a state that is constantly at least 80-100 degrees.
