Hello. My bedroom is the coldest room in the house and someone keeps turning the thermostat down so that it is almost constantly running. I will turn the thermostat up, and an hour later I will be freezing cold and notice that the air conditioner is constantly running again - and every time I check the thermostat, someone always has it turned back down!
Has anybody else found themselves fighting a thermostat war? Is anybody else suffering at the hands of some one else's decision to control the inside temperature? I would like to know.
I live in Texas, so you'd think I'd always be at the point of bursting into flames.
I would, if it weren't for my freakishly fast fan (That won't turn off, by the way!!!!). That thing has to spin at around 90 MPH. It's always about 72-ish in my room, but I get chills from the fan alone.
But I don't have problems with the thermostat. My mom is relatively sane. As long as I'm not Outside or in my room, the temperature's really comfortable.
My mother and I would probably have a thermostat war if we knew how to work the darn thing without causing the central heating to malfunction. It's an old apartment and we're merely renting.
So instead she leaves the balcony door open and the draught from the wind-tunnel generated by the apartment block across shoots straight through to my workspace, freezing my legs off. So we end up having a door war instead.
My thermostat is way to complicated for me to mess with, I have no idea how to do anything with it... Plus, my mom is scary when she gets mad. No, I'm not a 5 year old, I'm almost 14. When she gets pissed off it's like living in a horror movie, except less wondering whats going to happen and more running away.
