Hello. My bedroom is the coldest room in the house and someone keeps turning the thermostat down so that it is almost constantly running. I will turn the thermostat up, and an hour later I will be freezing cold and notice that the air conditioner is constantly running again - and every time I check the thermostat, someone always has it turned back down!

Has anybody else found themselves fighting a thermostat war? Is anybody else suffering at the hands of some one else's decision to control the inside temperature? I would like to know.

My mom freaks out if I touch it, and our house is usually pretty hot. She freaks out about saving money, so rarely has it on. Luckily I have a fan xD

You have to be sneaky. Wait until some ungodly hour of the night, and then change it. The others won't notice it for a while, if at all.

I'm the ultimate guerilla thermostat fighter. But I always turn the thermostat down instead of up

I'm in a thermostat war with nature and my mom. My mom likes it at 68, nature likes it at 85, and I can only stand 72-78. So ya, during the day it's 85, at night it's 68. I'm either cooking or freezing. So yeah. . . .

I bet I could easily change it without my parents noticing.
Problem - I have no idea how.
There's some sort of password associated with it XD

The problem is, my mom turns it off. Lol so if it turns on at all she'll know. She also stays up all night half the time xP

My mom likes it at 85, and so does nature, lol. At least it's cold in the night though, probably easier to sleep that way.

We need to have the air conditioner on. If we turn on the heat, our house will explode. Plus my body emits 105 degree Fahrenheit temperatures. I'm half volcano.

too cold - close your vents, stuff a towel in them and cuddle up in a cover, take a hot shower

too hot - geta fan, take a cold shower, drink water... really nothing else, easier to get too hot than too cold

as for me, my parents are sane; keep it on 68-73

Well, when I lived at home, my mother usually asked me to turn it down, when she noticed. She did not change it herself, and I did not say anything about the other rooms. Usually turning it down at night, so I could sleep better, though.
Now, I am more for saving money, so I won't put it up too much, as well as living in the city and on the first floor, so I have a bit of free warmth from that.

I usually shiver a lot in my house. I have no idea what my parents set the thermostat to. I think maybe 70 degrees. I can stand at most like 83 degrees.

I don't have an airconditioner in my apartment. I also don't use the thermostat, in summer or in winter.

I get cold, I get hot. I don't really care about the temperature.

It is always nice in my house. I never have to worry about that.

My dad freaks if anyone takes it off 80 degrees and I hate it being that hot because I already live in a state that is constantly at least 80-100 degrees.
