This is a thread you can ask me any question you want about Christianity and I will answer it to the best of my ability. I am a Christian, or to be more specific, Reformed Presbyterian. There will be no spam, and no stupid mean remarks. And I will answer the questions, so ask away, anything about God, Christianity or... anything...

There will be no spam, - redundant
and no stupid mean remarks. - opinionated

is there any proof that the book could not be a bunch of fictional stories?

Hm, would be a nice way to learn about christianity. Not that I would ever become one. Anyway, what's the longest book in the bible?

GAGAMEN, man was created first. Then off some flesh and i think a couple ribs from the man He made woman.

He is not a man because that implys He is a human. He is referenced as Father, Him, He, His, God... i'm unsure of why other than the possibility of Him impregnating Mary or women had no rights at the time

GAGAMEN, the God is, and will be for ever, and he wasn't "made" by anyone. At least the whole answer will just not fit in any human's head.

why you immediately say "He does nothing"? Please read "Book of Job", chapters 38-41, where all He still does is explained.

pray Him, like we do. He knows better than us, in all the senses.

see, you ask *me* some things that I just don't know. So I redirected you to Him, and prayer is the only working way to ask God something, which I am aware of. You want to receive answers from me, or what?

God isn't a machine that spits out answers to everything

I think this would have been alot more fun in the world events section there would be very different questions asked.

"and God said let there be light"

How do you invent light? just one day "you know what this place needs..." Also Genesis states that the heavens and Earth were made first, so what, he did it in the dark? That's like tying your shoelaces then turning on the light.

That's... a strange way to put it.

It was just an analogy (and I apologise becasue I am nad at them) but I think God is strange so it doesn't compare to the big G.

If you speak to God it is prayer but ig god speaks to you, you are mental. I'm not sure where Royadin is but I think GAGa would prefer answers of him or another user than God (sorry for speaking for you GAGA)

So who made God then?

Who made you? Who made your mother? Who made your mother's mother? Who made all those up to the first generation of people?

Also, I think this should be in the Religion section.

So Vesperbot - how do you know the 'whole answer will not just fit in any human's head'? Or that 'he' wasn't made by anyone? And that he will in fact, be forever?

Pixie214, well, were those prophets mental? There were some, who have heard the words of God directly, and transferred them to other people.

HiddenDistance, well, as God is larger than whatever we can imagine, and contains everything we can implement, how can His whole answer fit into the least part of His world?
About "how do I know all of that" - well, the Church teaches that, as received from Jesus Christ. Beyond that, try asking Him, perhaps you will eventually find out.
