1. St Anger

It's the only one I can listen to without walking out of the room and/or turning off the music. Even with that said, I only have about 3 songs on that album that I can stand listening to...

I love Metallica's version of Turn the Page. When I first heard it,I thought it was Bob Seeger,but as the song progressed,it turned more and more into metal. I just loved that transition.

Youve got it backwards, frylock.

Enter Sandman, is good, but for people that arent fans of them(you) , thats the only song you know or even listen to. so dont be hatin because they revolutionized metal. it was underground before they came along. Metallica is great. it doesnt matter what genre of music you like. its undeniable these guys are good. And they arent overrated because you dont hear the news constantly talking about them. and most of all, all i ever hear is about how metallica sucks now and all this. that makes them underrated. But i love metallica. and not for their radio songs and all other stuff. i like them because of all of their music.

They didn't revolutionize anything. They were a mediocre thrash band that sold-out, got popular, and started making hard rock albums.

And metal wasn't undeground before they came along. Judas Priest, Scorpions, Sabbath. All beofre Metallica.

A) They revolutionized thrash.

B) If they were mediocre they wouldn't have one grammies.

C) The latter half of the 90s were hard rock. St. Anger is in a class of crappy on its own. Death Magnetic is kicking up the pace. Next album will go back to Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets.
