Now, as a suggestion from Randy, a fractal contest is upon you. You will have one week to create a fractalistic masterwork for me to judge. I'll crown a winner, do some honorable mentions, and all that jazz. There will be no themes or constraints - any fractal program, any scripts, anything. This contest is the canvas, your program the paint.

Now, let the fractacularness begin!

Ooooooookay, welcome to the FCTUP13~!

This was very difficult to judge, so just bear with me please.

First Place:

I liked the original gradient better because it had more to give the eye, but the composition of the fractal is incredible, and doesn't really suffer from the gradient.

Second:

Dudeguy!

The gradient was great - I liked the purple you used, and it provides an interesting, yet not too in-your-face contrast with the yellow.

I called this a tie with dudeguy's because both of your fractals have great color and contrast - I just couldn't choose.

Honorable Mentions:

This gets an hionorable mention for it being able to pop even though it has a lack of color. Of course, that was also it's downfall - you don't have a ton to focus on in the fractal, which is why I couldn't place it. Still, this is a good fractal.

Congrats to all who participated! Also, congrats to goumas for his first real fractal. ^_^

It's ok, I'm glad I didn't win, that means I got some things to work on, thus making me work harder to achive a perfetc entry.

Should I enter with a an already made fractal?
