It turned into a spam thread on the last two or three pages. No real direction. Attracts users who want easy posts. Even my post had no detail. Oh, and no offense, but its strait up stupid.
Anyone who posted here seriously, other than the mods of course, are just trying to suck up in hopes of becoming the next mod.
And uh, "why?" is a great post btw. Try justifying your thread next time if you would want a sway in opinion.
But I would most likely wait 2 more pages to see if the thread would get any better. Though the best thing to do is make an angry face at it, and wish it would fade faster.
I don't really think is spam, b/c this is not a really serious thread. It's just for fun. I hope no one is actually thinking u can be mod by replying. But your opinion is that every thread that doesn't need a text of reply is not good, and should be locked, right?

Abuse it since it's only for a day. Hard to find someone who won't.
If people does do, they are permabanned the moment the abuse is found out. It is simply just stupid to abuse power, even if you only got it for a short time, it lines you up with flamers, trolls and the people who makes spam attacks, leaving you no better than the one you should keep from the forums and site.

First of all, if it was because of too many mods, I ask not to become one. It would be such a bad reason for making people a mod, even for a short time, and I would question the reason why I should be made one. Anyway, since this is.. hypothetical, I would go to the video games section and kill spam. There is spam, and a lot of it, simply because it is such a fast moving section, and not many mods care to look in it. One worders are found there, a bit of flaming as well, and a lot of stuff that should not be there at all. Same with the flash ones, though not as bad. The Newcomer's need a serious cleaning, along with most of the stickies. But what do I know...
If I was a moderator for twenty \\-four hours, I would (like Cen) kill spam. I would also go looking around for merits to award people. I would also ban users and lock threads appropriately. Basically, I would enjoy my powers as much as I could.

Wow! You just found someone here who will try not to abuse moderator powers. I wouldn't want to abuse moderator powers, lest I get banned myself. Permanently banned.
If I was a Mod, I'd be patrolling the threads to look for ungrammatical threads (I guess that makes me a Grammarian!) and if I had the power to edit, I'd probably edit anything ungrammatical.
Also, I'd remove flames, spam and also useless comments like "GAY!" on the games comment page. I think I could achieve all that in 24 hours - or at least try to.
