If I was a Mod, I'd be patrolling the threads to look for ungrammatical threads (I guess that makes me a Grammarian!) and if I had the power to edit, I'd probably edit anything ungrammatical.
1) No one can edit posts. 2) Are you really going to be a mean grammar nazi, just because some might not be as good as you when writing English? You will have to remember that though most users here are from the US, there is a good deal that is not. If you are going to correct them every time they make an error, they will loose the incouragement of being on the forums and leave.
And since the two posts after me is somewhat ignoring this according to some people:
Anyone who posted here seriously, other than the mods of course, are just trying to suck up in hopes of becoming the next mod.
Though I hardly believe any sucking up in this thread will lead to anything. If it did, the administration has failed dramatically. Does it really matter to be a mod, when you can do just as much being a regular user, AND still have fun?
I would seriously agree to the function of editing posts - especially the ability to edit my own posts. Hey, there's nothing wrong in learning proper English and being able to speak English well. I think people just need to try and do so - and I personally know of many speakers/user of English who learn is as a foreign/second language who are not offended the least when they are corrected. In fact, many foreigners who learn English like to know how to use English correctly. I should know since I *teach* English as a Second Language and am a Second Language speaker as well.
....well if there was such thing as an "expiring term," as moderator I would definately do two things. #1, ban Strop. Enough said there. #2 Mass delete EVERY game comment. Of course this would do more good than harm.....but it'd be funny.
