Euthanasia is the killing of someone with a condition or birth defect or retardation that makes them extremely different from other people. I don't mean skin color or appearance, I mean sever mental or brain problems.
Do you think that the murder of these people is ethical or not? And to whom should it apply?
I personally agree with it, only if the person is in extreme pain with no sign or recovering, or in such a state that he no longer has a conscious and machines are running him
the thing that has been discussed so intense was rarely the personal choice of ending ones life, but trying to find general rules, when someone has to be killed.
I don't agree with it with humans. There's a book called the Giver that discusses topics such as euthanasia and birth control. It's a small book, meant for children, but has deeper meanings. In my opinion, euthanasia should not be used on humans. When we practice euthanasia, it's like we're being god. We're deciding who lives and who dies. we don't have the right to do that. we never will.
I've stated it before, I'll say it again: Everybody has the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Nobody should be euthanized unwillingy because they are "stupid." Stupid doesn't put a limit on your other talents, just intelligence. Euthanasia should be used delicately and only on those who are terminally ill and fated to a horrible death. Or when they're a vegetable I.E. no motor skills or ability to speak. Often the family has to care for them 24/7 and put a diaper on that has to be changed. That's worse than death, in my opinion. It's not quite alive or dead. Just existant.
You just don't get it. If you start killing people, were is the line drawn? If there are only 2 people in the world left, they will want the other dead.
What about infacts who are doomed to die a very painful death?
Ok then, let's broaden it.
Any person can choose to die if they are terminally ill or very frail. Also, any infant who is going to die a very painful death can be issued to receive death by the parents decision.
People have there own choice over life and death, if they feel they can't live with what ever problem they have, old age or a terminal disease they should be allowed to die, who are we to control someone else's life?

I would understand euthanasia for someone who is in never-ending pain, but I think that if there's no medical reason, it shouldn't be allowed. Teenagers, for example, might be depressed about something and decide to kill themselves. But in all honesty, the problems of the average teenager will come to an end shortly afterward. As a teenager, I know that we tend not to think things entirely through when it comes to our personal life. I do stupid things sometimes because I don't think about the effect. What Green quoted above is a pretty good summary.
