In the first place, Iran doesn't even want to invade the US! Strained relations does not mean war. North Korea might want to attack the US, but is seems to be far fetched. No one seems to want to invade the US, since there is a good chance that an invasion would be a complete failure. The people of Iran are not daft. They wouldn't try to invade the US now.
They can be. They are not the daftest in the world however! That belongs to another government. Maybe not all of the government. I can safely say that the president could be daft.

I think they died down but the opposition is still protesting against Ahmadinejad. We will see what happens.
I'm pretty sure my country isn't going to invade a other country that is 7x better in military force....it would be more likely that u.s invades Canada. Which go to the next point that Talo pointed out. I'm pretty sure that the other countries are tired of U.S invading everyone. And what do u think the U.S enemies are going to do? They are going to use that opportunity to attack U.S and pledge alliance whit Canada. So i actually think that Canada would win, if the war would start now....

Well, the OP & title don't say anything about who would invade who, and we are purely discussing a hypothetical situation, so you can't dismiss the possibility that Canada is the one that the international community is angry at.

The other allies for Canada are more likely to take a back seat with the U.N. and condemn the action, but not intercede with military forces. Those that would decide to involve themselves in the conflict would still have to mobilize, equipment, and move a hugely significant force across the largest oceans on the planet to fight one of the strongest military forces on the planet - they would arrive too late to do any good. Would the U.S.A. be forced to give up occupation from international disgust? Probably - but not after utterly defeating the Canadian forces.

We are a freakin BIG country. The United States would never have the manpower to cover that much land and eliminate pockets of geurilla fighters. I mean, if they can't do it in Afghanistan, and they've got other countries helping them their (including Canada btw) what makes you think they could ever do it in Canada?

I highly doubt that the Canadian government would use guerrilla tactics. It's not like in Vietnam where you didn't know what was coming up next. They'd be fighting on fairly open ground.
