Suspending disbelief, and discounting the UN attacking the aggressor, I'd have to say that the US would win. I'm too lazy to look up hard facts, but I believe that the US is a much more militarized nation. We played a much bigger part in WWII (yes, Canada did fight, but not anywhere near as much as the US (I like parenthetical statements (and nested parentheses))), and we have participated in much more military action since then.
This is such a stupid discussion, why do you people fantasize about war like this? Who would want the United States and Canada to go into a war? Do you think it would be that easy for the United States to win anyway? Ever hear of protesters? How about Guerrilla warfare making it hard to secure victory? You're all fascists! I can't believe this thread didn't die about a month ago. Sheeeesh.
I cant believe I'm saying this, but, i agree with Vote Socialist. There is no point of this thread continuing because it has already been proven that this war will never happen. So why continue talking about such depressing things?
Exactly my continuing point that carries through all threads, that Americans don't know enough about Canada. We do after all have the largest unprotected border in the world, so you think it would be different.
Oh and another reason why we would never be invaded. We have one of the few factories in the world that makes the medical isotopes necessary for many expensive medical scans to look for cancer and other diseases. When this factory was temporarily shut down as a safety precaution there was a worldwide whortage of this isotope.
yes, Canada did fight "in WWII", but not anywhere near as much as the US
Uhhhhh, what makes you think that?
1) Canadians were in on it from the START 2) Canadians were active in Campaigns in Italy, Northern Europe, the North Atlantic, and the Pacific, the invasion of Normandy, and were the main force that liberated Holland from occupation. 3)British Commonwealth Air Training Plan, we operated this in Canada because we had lots of open space, and were furthest from the action. We trained 157,000 air force personnel. 4)1.1 million Canadians participated, our population was only about 11 million. Thats 10% of our population. 5)D-Day:Of the 5 designated landing points for ships, Canada was given its own. 6)You know the word shock trooper? That was created to define the awesome bravery of a Canadian soldier.

And? Doesnt mean they participated or did any killing. Just means they were stationed there. I once asked a canadian about ww2. He said around only 100 canadians died...

The US were sending ships, supplies, and planes to england at the start of the war, and through it until we decided to join.
D-Day:Of the 5 designated landing points for ships, Canada was given its own.
America had 2 spots, england had 2, canada had 1
6)You know the word shock trooper? That was created to define the awesome bravery of a Canadian soldier.
? Shocktroops were just assault teams. I dont think canada had anything to do with the naming
Not only are you talking about WWII stats, when WWII was SIXTY YEARS AGO, but the stats you're listing are in ever way inferior to the US's stats back then. Canada would be crushed, and the USA prolly has a ton of those factories. And if not, we would build our own or just not destroy the factory.
You're making up reasons that wouldn't really help. . .at all. . . .
Canada has about 13 million soldiers fit for service.
The USA has about 118 million soldiers fit for service.
I was under the impression it was 55,000 wounded and 55,000 killed. The numbers were both quite close weren't they?
You're making up reasons that wouldn't really help. . .at all. . . .
Shhhhhh...don't tell anyone
The USA has nuclear bombs.
Which they can't use
The USA has about 118 million soldiers fit for service.
Which are currently occupied in two other wars.
And I still maintain that the U.S and their 118 million soldiers, isn't enough given the size of the country and hude variations in temperature and landscape.
We'll just send all our leaders to Yellowkife, bet you can't stand -40 degrees celsius and blinding snow storms!
And man, gotta realize I don't take this forum seriously at all, cause no one else will ever change their mind when proven wrong. So why should I?
"I...i cant go on...eh"
Yeah, that's what a wounded Canadian Soldier sounds like. Funny stuff. *coughsterotypingcough*
