I can't say my opinion about it.
Also I find the title a bit confusing.

When people say Macedonia today it refers to FYRM( Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia ). It ain't part of Greece but still Greeks don't allow it to be called just Macedonia because it's assotiated with ancient Greek history and they are afraid of secession. North region of Greece is also called Macedonia.
It gets confusing. : |

Ah yes. I've heard about how the Greeks do not like how the FYRM uses the name "Macedonia".

That makes for a lot of confusion. Though part of ancient Macedonia is now part of modern Greece.

It is unusual how they call themselves Macedonians when they are not at all the same as the ancient Macedonians.

I live in a country north of FYRM and know several people that live there, we can easily understand each other since we talk similar.
We are used to calling them Macedonians although we know that they don't have anything in common with ancient Greece. They are Slavs that settled in region of ancient Macedonia.
Greece government is putting a lot of pressure on FYRM lately as I heard on the news. I really don't know how they plan to solve this issue. We'll see what the future brings.

Wrong, Macedonia conquered Greece first. Therefore, the question should be: Greece-Macedonian or not???

That's correct, Alexander the Great father was Macedonian and he conquered Greece. So today Greece still has a piece of land of Macedonia, Bulgaria as well and Albania

Macedonia was split in 1913 in by Greece, Serbia, Bulgaria and Albania and reformed into a country in the 90's, but Macedonia is only 31% land so Greece, Bulgaria and Albania have the other 69%.

There's a contract after 100 years they have to give back the land, the contract is from 1913 to 2013. so its just like Hong Kong after 100 years they gave it back to China
