It's freaking annoying, and when you think about it, these are the same people that in twenty years are going to be leading our country. Of course don't forget if you like to read you're automatically branded dork.
Yeah you are, and your shunned because your diferent, but I have brought all of us together. I am the head of our group, or at least I like to think so we don't really have a leader per se. But we are all a little strange haha.
Haha you're funny, I lost that reputation last year after they had to have me help them on their homework. There is no group, no one is shunned just... neglected.
Yeah I help people with their homework too, so we aren't completely shunned, since we are able to help 'them' , we still get to talk with them. But I guess it's not necessarily shunning, more or less like you said neglect, they don't really talk to us or anything until they need help!
Your armatar looks like he's in pain, sorry but I just had to point that out haha, I've been looking at it for a while now, and I just felt like putting that out there.
books 1-3 are about one main character 4-6 are about another 7-8 another and 9 another. All the characters are related and they are set in the same place but each is a different time period. They are all set with the main characters as teenagers/young adults. Some of them are in the other ones as older people.
They are awesome books, it doesn't really matter which one you start with, but it is best to read one of the characters groups in order. You will understand certain bits in the later books if you start reading from the beginning.
Then there are about 3-4 other books that are about some of the characters in the main books but it tells their stories and how they tie in with it all.
Great series of books that you should read and amazing illustrations.
I love the Sword of Truth series. It's about 7 or 9 books, can't recall. It's fantasy. It has awesome amounts of details and depth, and I love it. It also has gore, violence, rape etc... And it makes me love it even more.
Obviously there are a lot of fantastic series out there. Many people have already mentioned Tolkien's work, and I think we should not limitate that to the lOTR but rather his entier work in which he set up a fantastic universe from which many, many writers plundered ideas. So if you enjoyed LOTR, the read the Hobbit, the Silmarillion (at least) and you shall not regret it.
Another fantastic author is Steven Erikson and his Malazan Book of the Fallen. This series is superbly written, but quite complicated (you have to read the books in some sort of order, and if you don't read them in a sequence you'll soon forget the characters). despite that, it's the most entertaning series of books I have read to date.
Harry Potter series.... Not a big fan of the movies but the books are great! I know there's other great series but Harry Potter will always be a good book series.
