Recently, I've been having trouble getting up in the morning. I wake up at 10 from my alarm, turn it off thinking 5 more minuites, and then fall asleep to awake at 1:00 PM to my dad saying WTF why aren't you up yet?!?!?
One time I went to bed at 9:00 PM and woke up at 10:00 AM and had the same scenario.
I can't really control myself to get up, It's so hard... There isn't even an argument in my head. In the back of it I know I want to get up, but the urge to keep sleeping so strong!
Same here...its 2:00 am right nao, and its like the after-noon for me...I wake up around 1:00 pm-3:00 pm...O.o But my parents don't really care if its summer...
I can usually control when I wake up fairly well. I might not like it, but if I have to get up I get up.
Just force yourself to go to bed early sometime, and it should be easier from then on out. It's just going to get harder to wake up earlier and not sleep as much if you keep going to bed later and later.
If that doesn't work...
Have your parents adopt little brothers (ages between 5 and 10) to wake you up every morning =D
At least try, it's better than sitting in front of the computer. That will keep you awake. Lol trust me though, I never want to do it. I don't look forward to having to go to bed early for school.
GamesArmor, I also have sleeping problems, it start when I drink 3-5 cups of coffee, I don't sleep for 3 days. Then the 4th day I get myself powerless, lol no energy at all.
I think I got insomnia.
The trick is, you have to 'schedule' your sleeping time, if you feel to hard to get up, then don't get up, just open your eyes, take some water from a bottle and wipe it to your eyes, if you have ice cube it will be better, it works well for me. I'm a coffe addict, now i only drink 1 cup a day.
I know in the long run, not sleeping is a bad habit, when you are 40 your body will slowy degenerate, from 10 in the night until 4 in the morning, our body self-immune system start to 'roduce', our blood and brain need to 'repair' itself, in other words, get some sleepppppppppp lol
Insomnia... It brings back so many wonderful memories. I'm usually up till around 3:00am and I wake up around two in the afternoon. I figure it must be insomnia, or my sleep patterns have altered over the summer.

I think that it's really ironic that I stumbled apon this thread. As I am typing this, it is 3:00am and I can't fall asleep. So I figured I log on to AG.

What do I do?
Buy one of these from ThinkGeek; alternatively, put your alarm clock far enough away such that you have to physically get out of bed to turn it off. Once you're up, start training yourself to either go to the bathroom or splash water on your face, and make sure you don't go back to bed.
