It's not just Wikipedia (by the way, the wiki article on screamo is very accurate). Look at any source that talks about screamo and you'll see it's not just a band that has screamed vocals.

Screamo isn't reall a genre itself, its just a word, have you ever seen a band that was specifically Screamo?
