War - it has been considered man kind's worst creation. In the dark ages death was somthing of evreyday life. But now adays it is considered mutany, barbaric. What do you think of this, from games to the real battlefeild. Some video games make some people join the military of some nations. War to me is a barbaric, unhuman and much more. It is the blood baths and the loss of life. The breaking of freind from freind, the breaking of family, brother versus brother. I know there is no such thing as 'World Peace' but who who want war? Give your opinion, and what you think of warfare.

Wars are creations of the rich and powerful, not man.

I do for one. It's the business I'm going into. First the military, then arms manufacturing. It creates massive amounts of jobs. From mining to industry to the military itself.

The blood baths involved? As long as it isn't my blood I'm fine with it. War is to rare to have a real direct effect on the majority of humanity.

And so I would wish you would die in a war.

And no war is not pointless, thats why it exists.

It is a great way for the rich to become richer and for the poor to become poorer. It works.

And because war is the cause of the powerful, to eliminate war is a possibility, resting on the factor of the existence of the rich.

Thus to eliminate war, we eliminate the rich.

so that the ones who are now poor can become the new rich and powerful and start wars again.

And to clarify on this. I mean, war has its uses, thats why it continues to live on.

Men are rational beings and they would not start wars if it had no purpose, like you wouldn't eat a pencil unless you were offered a great sum of money to compensate for the useless of the action.

Lol, I did not mean we should all get snipers and shoot the CEO of every business.

Its economical and political.

We would need to switch to a system which is not operated by a few powerful man.

this changes nothing. than the society which is more powerful, will try to destroy the less powerful.

and most wars, have had a huge popularity when they started. they simply become unpopular when lost, or taking to long and people actually die

We eliminate all the rich and powerful, more will take their places. So to eliminate all the potential rich and powerful, we need to eliminate humanity. Wars will do that in due time.

What reason would they have to?

Wars are made for the rich to gain a profit and to secure their money and power. Why would society as a whole have its own members fight another part of the society? For what reason?

and most wars, have had a huge popularity when they started. they simply become unpopular when lost, or taking to long and people actually die

Haha, I would really doubt if you could find any source that even comes close to confirming that wars were popular.

By popular if you mean, there was a lot of them then yes, but there was no way supported by the poor peasants as all it brought to them was more hardships. The vast number of wars was due to the restricted freedoms of society and the great emergence of lords and kings, who sought to protect their land and power. This fact rather goes with my point when I say that the more power the few have, the more wars it will bring.
Wars have lessened as democracy has evolved.

We eliminate all the rich and powerful, more will take their places. So to eliminate all the potential rich and powerful, we need to eliminate humanity. Wars will do that in due time.

Like I said, what needs to change is the economic structure that promotes the powerful. As democracy evolves, the powerful will not be needed no longer. No new power men will emerge because the economic and political structure will not allow them. For example, Feudalism allowed lords and kings to rule the rest of society as slaves. Because of the nature of the system, powerful man in control existed in much numbers. As capitalism took over, the peasantry were gained much more freedoms. New political structures were put in place. Now you have to vote for your leaders who are suppose to represent your interests for you. But on top of that there are the rich in society who sit on top of piles of money.
So this system is not perfect and there is still work to be done.

Well that's mean >: ( But, if I do, chances are I'll see you in hell. See ya then XD

Good one :P

Well that was a bit of a joke, but if you dont care about others to the point that you dont care that they die, then why should I care you died? Its only fair

Why should I care if I die? I don't. I understand the principle of the group matters more than the individual. Sure, death sucks, but it doesn't matter to anyone other than the persons loved one. That's it.

Look at Vietnam, it was quite popular for the first couple years. But then hippies came along, and it became unpopular. Oh, and people started realizing how completely and utterly useless it was.

Only war ever I'm against.

It was only popular because they had lied to the people telling them they were spreading democracy or some crap

Sure though some wars can be justified.

What matters is what you think if it matters.
I just find it weird that you dont think people dying as long as its not you doesnt matter.
This idea really would restrict you from participating in political discussions because you wouldnt care for the better of the people under the influence of the system.

"Who cares about abortions, im a guy"
"Who cares that capitalism kills a gagillion people, im not one of em"
"We dont need to take steps in aiding africa, im not starving"

lol.
To argue on something, both parties need to agree what the desired outcome is.

If I think the communism is better because it gives justice and freedom to everyone, but you say fascism is better because you dont care about freedom and think everyone should be held in chains then we need to take a step back and argue on whether what a political system must provide before we can argue which is better
