1) It would be abused, like 911. 2) It wouldn't work unless the mod alerted is online, and if he/she is, you could still just post on their profile and it would have the same effect. 3) It would generally be ignored, like the "vote up" button was.
I don't know what could possibly be so urgent on AG, but I guess you could try IMing them. It makes a little beep noise if they're online.
This.
That is also currently the only way to report stuff to me, or ask questions... Since I locked my profile comments while my internet is unstable and stuff...
But yes, just get hold of a mod's IM handle if you wanna be able to alert them quickly.
A button that people would click if they thought a comment was worthy of a merit, but people abused it so they got rid of it.
I really don't see why they don't bring it back. One of the main problems was that people would vote up their own comments, but they could only let an IP vote for the comment once. Also, I'm assuming the mods looked at the comment first, so even if they did vote for their own comment and it's not worthy of a merit they won't give it one.
Yeah, and I just wrote my first merit worthy comment today too lol That brings me to this question, without this vote up button, how are merits going to be awarded? It will take a much longer time for mods to look for merit worthy comments.

I wish they brought it back. I'll assume it is going to take longer. I left what I thought to be a merit worthy comment on colony. Of course it will never be read since that game is very popular
I just made the font in that comment slightly bigger.
That's why it was pointless. If a comment is worthy of a merit it is gonna stand out from the spam anyway and does not need to have enlarged text. It wouldn't help it.
Merits are awarded like they always were. By a mod or admin seeing and reading the review and deeming it worthy of the reward.
And if the vote up did work like the flag, it would probably get spam-clicked randomly...
