I was looking up precious gems today and what they mean and supposedly peridot (august birthstone fyi) is supposed to have healing powers and if you spritual or have little eartly worries sooths you. Or emerald given to a lover is supposed to keep them loyal. What do you think could believing this actually make it happen? The human brain is very powerful. Or are they really dare i say magic? Or is this just a bunch of BS to sell them more or pick out one?
That's just a bunch of crap... Gem stones do not give you any capabilities or anything. It's just to attract people who are complete idiots to buy them.

So true. The fact is it could work in all cases. If you think it will make you better then it will, if you think it will calm you then due to the placebo effect it will calm you. It's a nice idea but once you know the secret of it, it doesn't work.
