Ahem. I know this is related to Video Games, but I don't think it belongs in the Video Games section because the only posts there that get replies are console war ones.

Anyways, I want a PS3. I am sick and tired of Nintendo, none of their games have a good storyline, none challenge me, all are kid games, and all of their games are obssesed with "innituitive gameplay". I'm a gamer, not an idiot waving around a plastic stick!

Anyways(again), I want a PS3, but as you can immagine, they are expensive. I want 80 GB and that costs $400. Also, my birthday is coming in two months. Anything moneywise goes through my mom even if I ask my dad, and my mother is a cheapskate. For my last birthday I got a jar of cheesepuffs! That's it!

Anyways, with my birthday coming up in two months, and the price, I want one now. I can't sit around for two months and do nothing. So I need you to help me get some good arguments and points.

Be willing to do extra chores. Try and come up with a compromise with them. And don't whine if you don't get it right away. Chances are, they will want to see if you're mature enough to have something so expensive. That's my two cents.

I already practiacally run the household. Sometimes I make supper, i clean the widnows, make everyones beds, feed our dogs, and mow the lawn.

Hmm. Well if that doesn't work, then just try to get the money yourself. It's not that hard. If you already do all that work at your house, you can do it for other people and get paid.
Oh, and never complain. That'll put your parents in a bad mood and show them you're not responsible enough.
Or you could work out some kind of deal, like doing an extra chore or paying them back or going halfsies or something.
Just try to help them pay it, make a compromise, show them you're responsible! Not only did I have to pay back the $200 for my cat and all her accommodations, I have to buy the food, clean the litter, buy the litter, deal with her in every way.
Oh, and for my two cents, I really think XBox 360 is a better grab than PS3.

really think XBox 360

Breaks often, 150$ shipping if you dont have waranty, and I cant afford that kind of stuff. Theres alot more but i dont want to get too into gaming since this is the tavern.

And my parents aren't like that. Seriously, im lucky to have them home an hour, they expect me to do all the stuff I do now. I'm like the maid even though im a guy...

And plus, my mom puts off money, when i ask her for the pay she said she would pay me for delivering papers, she puts it off, hopinh ill forget about it. After asking 7 times, once each day I just gave up.

Maybe tell them you'll try harder in school, I think that would probably work on my parents. Make sure you actually get better grades though, or they'll just take it back xP

Maybe you could get a quick job and earn some of the money yourself, and then split the cost?

If I say that theyll be like "YOU WEREN"T TRY YOUR HARDEST BEFORE!!!" and then shell be more mad.

Quick job? Suggestions? I asked my dad to mow the lawn and he said he would give me 5$. And it take spproximately 3 hours to mow the lawn.

It's a start I guess. Are there any neighbors who would let you do stuff for a few bucks? I mean I think it would be worth it to work a lot, even if it's just for a few dollars, because in the end you'll have the PS3 and that will last for a very long time.

Red Steel? The Conduit? Ohhh man just wait 6 months you will have 'note worthy' games by th

Every decent game comes out every 2 months on the Wii. Why have a Wii with a decent game every two months when I can have a PS3 with nearly every new game being good?

I suppose the $5 per hour would be Ok for getting a PS3 game. Then I would get as much as possible and make a deal(i pay half they pay half).

Even Metroid Prime 3 was awesome. But that's to be expected.

And don't worry. A crapload of awesome games are coming out really soon. So even if you do want a PS3, I wouldn't sell my Wii just yet.

As for the topic... actually, everybody's said one of my ideas. Sorry.

What's wrong with SSBB? Ok MK Wii? Those are fun, and don't forget Animal Crossing or even Wii Sports. I know there are a s*itload of crap games for Wii but now they are making new more adult rated games, plus there's no more Heroes and Punch Out!!

Dude. those are like every two months. I don't want to wait that long for just a Game. And plus. Wii sports and MK suck single player, and I'm a single player kind of guy(my family never plays with me, their workoholics, my two sisters are obsesed with computer).

GET A JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It wouldn't be straightforward and easy for a 13 year old to find decent employment.

How old is your brother?

Not 60$...

I hate MK. Well I don't hate it but I don't enjoy it. I have terrible luck at all games, and this one is way too luck based.
