What do you think of the Wii? Many people think it is far outshined by the pretty graphics and audio of the 360 and PS3. Some think it's motion sensor and more realistic gameplay makes it a better system then others.

I, personally, enjoy the Wii and 360 on about the same level, or at least I used to until good games stopped coming out on the Wii. I've always loved Mario, Zelda, and Fire Emblem, so Nintendo has always been one of my favorites.
The X-Box has some solid shooters and the only system to have Halo. Sure Halo has a lot of flaws, and a fairly weak storyline after a while...but it is fun. Plus it saved the X-Box.. but I'm getting off topic here.

The Wii has in depth gameplay and its motion sensors are far better than the PS3's. I really don't like Playstation very much. Not enough amazing games that I'd be interested in for one thing... Not to mention how expensive it was, and still kinda is.

The Wii was,affordable with a new way of gaming revealedNot moving an analog stick until the gun pointed at a guy, but moving your arm, until your arm pointed at a guy.

The graohics are very weak, but something I'm sure we've all heard seems to fit right now. Quality over quantity. Quality gameplay, over a big flashy hardrive teeming with megapixels to make the game look shiny. Now, sure. If I had both at the same time I'd be estatic. Gears of War's a good example... So what do you guys think?

master I agree with you, but Wii is very fun.. Games like Mario Kart, Call of Duty, and other games are fun on it. COD 3 is fun cuz the sniping is kinda realistic.. more than COD 3 on ps2. and Mario Kart is really fun cause you can get the wheel.

The Wii is somewhat good, but it could be better. Let's just leave it at that.

It's pretty good for me. I like Tales of Symphonia, Mario Kart, Brawl and some other games.

I agree. It could be better,but we can't change it....

I think the Wii would be AWESOME if they made the graphics better. I don't really care for the 360 or PS3, but when I got the Wii I was younger and didn't care for those, now that I am older I would like some of the games on those systems. Like I said, it could be a major competitor if they only made the graphics better. Some of the games on the Wii provide a more realistic gameplay. With the edition of the newest motion sensors, the sensors triumph over the PS3's. And not only that, but it has things not used before such as the Wii Board. One good thing also is that you can buy the controls that make it more like a traditional controller. I love how you can make Miis, it is like the XBox Live People maker thing, but free. It also depends on the person playing. For younger children, the Wii is definently better. For people who want to lose weight and stay active while playing, go with the Wii. For hardcore gamers....definently XBox or PS3. And for people who like shooter and war games...go with XBox or PS3.

I agree with VirtualLife about everything except this:

I think the Wii would be AWESOME if they made the graphics better.

For me eye candy isn't really important. Gameplay is what I like in a game. The Wii could be pretty cool if they had more games in it. Not something like "LumberJack party".

Wii 2(?) will be much better. And, the only real change Nintendo is going to make is giving it the ability to handle HD graphics.

very very bad

attack of the fanboys!

Personally, Fun Factor> Graphical quality. Who really needs the ability to play games on a HD TV? If a game is fun, the that's all that matters. I would much rather play a golf game on wii any day compared to on the PS360. Why? because its FUN!! That is all that matter to me, so i love the wii.

I bought a Wii and I was disapointed. No hardcore games whatsoever, and the amount of shovelware was(and still is) unbelievable. I'm going to get a PS3 for my birthday.

Enough rambling, is the Wii good or bad?

I say if you are around the age of 8, the Wii is PERFECT for you. Most games fit that age group. And none of the games have skill as the deciding factor, so anyone can win, making the whole family able to enjoy the Wii. The wagglemote captures those little kid's tiny attention spans because they like spazzing out with the Wii and shaking the wagglemote repeadeately to get the game to do "silly" things. The cartoonish graphics are also a plus for the age group, kids love cartoons. No violence, lots of pets games, and even some educational games, parents might actually want to buy this console for their children.

As for hardcore gamers, this console is like Nintendo giving them the finger.

The graphics suck, free internet, Virtual Console and WiiWare, able to link with Ds/Dsi, and you might break your TV if you don't wear your wriststrap.

Well...

Casual Score:9/10

Hardcoore Score:3.7/10

So in a group of 8 year olds the console is Perfect in everyway, but hardcore gamers STAY AWAY!

I agree with GamesArmor.
Most people I go to have a Wii. I thought it was fun at first, but then it gets a little boring to play...

Honestly the question of whether or not the Wii is a good or bad system comes all down to preference. The 360 and the PS3 both have great graphics and the 360 itself has a ton of games, but if you're like me and you don't give a damn about shooters nowadays, or sports games or racing games that cuts the 360's library down a fair chunk.

I own a Wii and I love it, but I have quite a few games on that I myself enjoy. Mario Kart Wii, Super Mario Galaxy, Madworld, Super Smash Brawl, The Force Unleashed (which is multi-platform so it kinda doesn't count), Punch-Out!!, Okami (which also came out for the PS2) and my personal favorite, No More Heroes; along with the backwards compatible Gamecube selection and the ever growing virtual console choices, games aren't a hard thing to come by. People say that the Wii is for children, and maybe it is in their case, and I will agree Nintendo could have done a better job at appeasing the longtime hardcore fans but honestly I think they're doing alright.

People often say that the Wii has a lot of shovelware (which it kind of does, again that's personal opinion) and that it's graphics aren't the greatest (another truth). However people forget the last console generation, which the PS2 won with its massive amount of shovelware and it's lesser graphics quality. Any system like the PS2 or the Wii is going to get swamped with shovelware games, it's inevitable.

So to sum it all up, I think the Wii is good and is well worth the purchase.

i think it is great if you come pair it to the ps3
these are the good things about the wii and the good things about the ps3 just look at it this way and and you might just change your mind

THE WII

* the whole family can play

* its new there is nothing like it out there unlike the ps3#

* its not the same sort of modal as the last on ,ie the PS3 was an upgrate to the PS2 really they didn't make a new consal since the PS1

* its a lot cheeper

* games that you cant get on anything else

* more interactive

* you fell more like you are there

* you can make your self on it ie miis

* aswell as free internet though ps3 has that

* its more than half the price

THE PS3

* better graphics

* better game play

* looks cooler

* more people have it and go on the internet games

* its got blue ray

so over all compairing the two there is more good this about the wii than the Ps3 so that means at this point of vue it looks like the wii is better than the Ps3

that is how i came to my out come that the wii is a good consale

Looks like you guys bring up a lot of good points. I don't completely agree with GamesArmor though. I think of myself as a hardcore gamer somewhat. Red Steel is a nice shooter for the Wii. People complain that it's "too realistic" with the aiming. If you've ever shot a gun before you should find Red Steel pretty familiar to that. The Wii's real value doesn't come so much from the Wii games, but the fact that you can download the old classics.Who wouldn't wana download Super Mario Bros. 3, Starfox 64, or Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past to play over and over again on your TV? Yes the PS3 has awesome graphics... but I find myself only liking about 4 or 5 games that you con only find on the PS3. Quite frankly the rest of em suck! The ones that are really good can be found on the X-Box and Wii, so the PS3 only games that are good, seem tobe limited.
