I am just wondering what my surname means, I am Polish and i have absolutely no idea what it means, apart from the "cki&quotart of it, i know what that means but that it? anyone got any ideas or can help, i done lots of research on it.

My Surname is: Szczucki

Ok I got a new one, i found out about Szczucki, was named after a town, I think my ancestors where peasants maybe, I am not so sure. But now i have and even more mysterious one, my mothers maidens name.
It's Stanczak And I have no idea at all about it.

Scottish: occupational name for a physician, or a variation of the word leech/leach I think.

ya i remember reading something bout that before but what you wrote reminded me of it. kinda like a doctor that uses leeches on his patients for an infection or something.

I actually got a drink coaster a few years back with my name and it's etymology. Mine's derived from old Irish, Kevin is kind, gentle, and handsome. Also the last part of my name means birth. I like to think of myself as a handsome, kind gentlemen.

It would be impossible to get one of those of my name lol, I wish it wasn't so hard to find out what my surname is, or my mothers maiden name Stanczak

My surname means 'mountain or a bridge', lol, it's kinda strange.

Rong means 'fertile or mighty'

An means 'eace or quiet or calm'

My dad gives my name. Chinese people said my name is beautiful.

No idea. All I know is mine is so effing common, I plan on having it changed.

Hendricks, in case you were wondering. I want to change it to my step-dads name, simply because his is so effing awesome, albeit totally not in my genetics.

Either way, his is awesome.

My first name means 'messenger of God' (HA - that's good for an Atheist) and my last one is derived from the occupation of being a park-keeper in medieval times. Also, the motto on our coat-of-arms is 'fideli certa merces' which means 'to the faithful there is certain reward' (again, great for an Atheist).
