This is the official Battle of the Game Systems thread. Which system do you think is top quality? Which system should never have been made? State your opinion and provide the reasons why your console is top dog!
I've owned and played all three systems. In my honest and personal opinion i say the playstation is the best but not by much. It's built in wifi is the main reason i picked it. The Xbox 360 you can listen to music why you play your games. The Wii is a unremarkable system other than the original games like mario and zelda. Some say whatever they want but this is my honest opinion and if you dont care i understand. But if you want to talk crap you can suck it. thanks and goodbye.
Wii is a good long playing system because it doesn't overheat like the Xbox but most games are T and under while Xbox controllers have more Battery power and most games are M
ive akways bought xboxs, never owned a play station but i am about to buy a ps3. the only reason im upgrading to a ps3 is for the blu ray, better graphics and free online gaming. im getting sick of paying every month for gold membership. the best thing about the 360 is modding it, i love customizing consoles and am currently working on a customized nintendo 64. the 360 is so easy to open and repair for yourself, along with modding the controllers. the ps3 i dont know much about with home repairing and modding but i wouldnt personally pull one apart.
Since PS3 is created by Sony. It should have the best graphics. But people keep on saying it's the same thing as the XBox (apparently internet has HD).
So, all-in-all, it looks like a stuggle between the 3 consoles. Everyone will have different opinions whether or not which one is the best or the worst. The main purpose of the 3 consoles are for entertaining people.
So all-in-all, it is a pretty even fight between the 3 consoles. There should be no reason to complain which one is better because all of them are built for one reason. To entertain people.

I keep saying that isn't the case at all. That's like saying that since an iMac was made by Apple, it must taste better than a PC. Just look at the actual product before making rushed conclusions.

Actually people don't seem to be that keen on the Wii in this thread. And I have to agree: it's really the weakest console out of the three if you're not a Nintendo fan like myself and have no particular reason to pick it over a stronger console with a better library - like both its competitors. Mine is currently disconnected and I turn it back on every couple months or so when either I feel like playing Mario Kart or a new Wii game that I want comes out. Last time that second option happened was last year with Skyward Sword. Though to be fair I'm told Xenoblade Chronicles is good, I might pick it up.
As far as the consoles having the same purpose, that's correct in a vague, mystical sense, but a pogo stick or a porn mag are comparable to a console if you're going by that logic; they also entertain. Hell, an Atari is entirely comparable to a PS3, too.
The Wii is an entirely different beast than its competitors, for one thing. Its family and casual appeal is a defining factor, and it lacks the hardcore gamer appeal of the PS3 and XBox. Also, there's objective factors we can evaluate, it's not all preference - some of those are graphics, available games, exclusive software features, online support and community, backward compatibility, value for money, controller differences.
i am going with ps3 because it has my favorite games. i have a wii but i don't go on it often :/. i cant say anything about xbox because i don't have one.
I own an Xbox 360 and its pretty great!! All the software updates mean I don't need a hardware update! And the online play is unrivaled by the competition. I also have a Wii, I like it for the exercise factor. but that's all its good for. and really when I want to play tennis I might as well bike to the courts not get on my Wii. But Nintendo is geared more towrds younger kids, and in that area they own. But I've been a huge fan of PlayStation since the first PS2, But I gotta saw the online play isn't quite as good or as convenient as it is on the Xbox. but over all there isnt a huge difference between the two. If you wanna play a good FPS either will suit you fine.
