Soo... My first English assignment was to read, the short-story, The Pedistrian by Ray Bradbury. It was allhrite. In that story it seemed that computers took just about all the jobs in the world. Is that a plausible idea? Will computers eventually lay off too many jobs?
The three things computers are better than humans at: 1. They are faster 2. They do not forget 3. They are more accurate
I was reading that scientists think that in a couple of decades they will ahve made a computer with the processing power of a human brain. That won't give it more inteligence but it is a cool achievement. Robots/computers won't take over many jobs becasue they lack emotion. Sure they can make a car but they can't design it they don't have that passion unless we found a way to programme them that way. In the same way they couldn't be bereavement couselors etc.
[offtopic] - Raptor, why did you decide to come back?
I didn't leave, I merely moved and then my grandmother died of Cancer so I wasn't really worrying about not getting on AG to play with everyone on the forums =o [/offtopic]
Resume, as I really have nothing else to say atm O_O

Computers....the only way to fix them is to fill a cup with water and pour it all over your keyboard and back behind the monitor's screen [if you have an old one]. ^^
Why'd you close your comments, anyway? I'll add you as a friend now if you'd add me >.>

Yeah, this is computers, not robots, so we have nothing to worry about ^^ Except obnoxious AIs
I see you're talking about my grandpa again. Don't know if he can last that long,he's already nearing a century old, lol.
Are you being sarcastic. I never knew your grandpa was named artificial intelligence.
Maybe... But if the computers took over they would eventually realize they are superior to humans and might decide to take over the earth.
They'd need to have feelings and emotions, just like a human. Otherwise, they wouldn't realize they are superior to humans, they would still be automatons.
