The only way to know for sure is to ask her out, plain and simple. Smiles, looks, etc. can be misleading, and often are. No need to make a fool of yourself by spending precious time trying to figure out if she likes you. If you find out that she doesn't like you... it's not much different from asking her out and getting rejected, minus the rejection of course. No big deal, really, as long as you make the actual asking out sound casual and not desperate.
