So, since my last competition was pretty much a discussion, I'll now close that and move over to this general colony discussion (the others are all specific)

Since im not on colony, I need an improvement on my strategy.This is my strategy: Build a bank, Build a Armory, Upgrade to Treasury, Build generator, upgrade to Solar Grid, build forge, upgrade to Manufactory, build sakatas, build phantoms, and continue building like that.I also squeeze in some romans somewhere.Anyone think of an improvement?
It sounds like you've got this strategy down. I don't know what you're doing on the microing scale, but if you advance your sakatas and Sk. Spiders forward (as they can heal) to get a bit of influence, then with your solar you could invest in a modded SK sp. Then, if what you're saying by "and continue building like that," is that you also build a mech. terminal, then you could make a line of Sk mkIIs and SK Sp.s and have some glads behind. If your opponent has missiles or Black queen bombs then you can try to micro out of the way with your SKsps. Then your SKIIs should take care of the Black queens or if it's missiles, then you can just pray that your opponent doesn't have good timeing with their missiles, otherwise your SKSPs are toast. Also, the setup you've got is perfect for making glads on auto-build. And if that doesn't work, then in that situation, I would lose, too. So I can't give you any better advice. Except maybe to have two armorys and a manufactory and an arsenal and make SKIIs and Hovers. But that would be a completely different strategy...
Yah Destinydude one thing: What if they rushed? If they rushed you would still be building your, well buildings. Tey may only do that on certain modes but anything can happen on this game. I'm not saying your strategyn isn't good it's good but you might have to have a back-upplan in-case it fails. Just a thought.
im pretty sure these are close to the best builds:
air (forge): [fascist] armory > forge > upgrade forge > generator > generator > upgrade generator > upgrade other generator
ground (outpost): [capitalist] armory > armory > hospital > upgrade hospital > outpost, upgrade 3 times OR {rushing hovers} bank > armory > generator > post, upgrade three times eventually downgrade the bank for hospital, upgrade hospital
yea. im saying the romans to protect your spawning hovers but anyway yea the sniper chronite rush is pretty deadly, considereing no black queens are around. ever tried the chronite scout rush? i tried it with fixx3r and it was insane
Once a hacker rushed me and firetail with them though...didn't synch it well unfortunately, their chronites arrived waaaaay too late and llet the scouts be picked off, and then their chronites were taken down by snipers that wer ehuddling the base...
Hmm...chronite tank spam vs hover rush.....
What's the normal amoutn of hovers you get from the rush?
i get 3 initial hovers, and from there its on and off. its only purpose really is for an early assault. im thinking it would be faster without the bank though. armory > gen > outpost
I am back now for good from friday shopping, so i will be on soon for the rest of the night and i will be on for 22 hours out of 24 starting in 2 hours.
