So, since my last competition was pretty much a discussion, I'll now close that and move over to this general colony discussion (the others are all specific)
TALK ABOUT ANYTHING RELATED TO COLONY (and beef burgers)
When I am trying to get a quick sniper barricade and/or stop a tank rush in EQ, I generally go bank, hospital, outpost, barracks, then pop snipers. I hit the reinforce button when money runs out and keep making when i can till out of manpower, and by that point I generally have ~12-15 which is enough for a wall or to stop a tank rush with micromanaging. At that point I put outpost on manpower production and upgrade bank, then proceed with teching up, adding snipers to wall whenever needed.
Heh I'm in the process of locking all the buildings I lock. I generally come back and check on this in between sometimes though :P. As far as the tank wall, if you do what I said you can generally get them up fast enough to take care of it. The only time they dont is if they build outpost first and immediately spam tanks with no rally point, but in that case they generally cant sustain it enough to be a problem and you can counter by simply making a few tanks and medics. If they do the general 2-3 tanks with medics before starting strat, you can get your snipers up before they get in range and can just advance retreat repeatedly to take them all out. You just have to be careful to not let them get in range as they can completely rape your snipers if they do :P.
@lala there is no faster way than that if your playing capitalist i think waht your interested in is build times and their respective initial output of hovers. im going to time several builds in the near future (the weekend after this one). il probably post the results and statistics i get here.
anyway, the sniper strategy ive seen used. its not so effective when one guy is spamming romans and the other hovers.
