So, since my last competition was pretty much a discussion, I'll now close that and move over to this general colony discussion (the others are all specific)

someone should make a strategy that is meant to be like the cpus but with some amount of micromanaging. make something look like a pin with strong units, like chronite tanks or something, and then attack when the enemy thinks its a pin. and SOMEBODY needs to make a groditz strategy. i've been trying and trying but i give up
I got a build for Groditz but it only really works in SS or LT and starts off as a sniper build;
Capitalist
bank, Hospital, make meditec for influence, post, barracks, make a few snipers for pin and distractions, armory (on cash at first), make groditz, make meditecs with all of the influence whenever possible, upgrade hospital to war sanc, make treasury whenever possible, Change armory to Manpower. Groditz can be quite good, do a lot of damage to saints and what not. Just a bit redundant in Cw or Normal.
I just want to say cpus don't get the same resource gain as normal players. I will look up the exact numbers, and post back later.
Quite right, CPU get a lot more resources than normal, I am sure, seeing as they never set their buildings on resource gain yet always manage to make stupid amounts of snipers, scouts, everything. Lol.
that was what i was talking bout ....in begining of game they have high resorces gain so a sniper pin that cpu makes might be beaten by 4 tanks but that acts mainly as a distraction ....anyway .,.....does anyone remember when u could choose your server
oh yeah i always play safe skies, my games are always named }Safe}+{Skies{. i think missiles are extremely noob because they force you to use special armor units, which are the latest ones, and really limit the game. but still, chronite tanks DESTROY groditz so they arent effective enough at all :/
if you have 5 marines or 5 romans they should form a 'group' and the image is of one of them, but with his armor white to distinguish him. that way the lag would be less and it would be easier to micromanage mass groups of marines/romans
Dude you really don't want to group marines. Plus, you are forgeting about the splash bug, where weapons with no splash still hit all units that are touching the target pixel.
Most of my games are Safe Skies as well. It becomes really frustrating when all you can build is special armour units or they'll all be instantly killed. It really limits the variety of the game.
I really don't mind missiles in games (1v1 or 2v2) Because you can still micro to stop all units from dying from the missile and also, it does waste the opponents resources which makes it much harder for them to progress.
very tru, or some mk 2's either way missiles r annoying but its a double edged blade and the side pointing towards U the missile user may be larger than the other side.... but i dont mind norms..... just hate noob missile strat reallllllyyyy annoying..... and i really those games called safe+ skies or watever, i use pwn dudes in it XD the General lives lol..... i miss my harfang account..... back when i wouldnt get CONSTATNLY RESET......
Missiles don't annoy me that much actually. Surely they are less annoying than the noobs that make normal games but start to whine when I use one... >_>
