So, since my last competition was pretty much a discussion, I'll now close that and move over to this general colony discussion (the others are all specific)

well.... I pretty much agree with everything al said. mostly because it was with him I tested it....
however, the way I remmember it, fasc had only to dual if the mon didn't go sanct. otherwise, killing two saints with scouts is a bit risky... possible, but not a sure bet... I believe that was where the ops came in, for the extra boost the ops teams provide. they also then help kill the base before mon has a chance to missile.
if the mon cancels the sanct, that is where the dual comes in, as otherwise containing missiles and teams with tanks to weaken Romans is pretty hard. layered tanks is pretty much the only option...
as for cap v mon, I can't imagine a situation where cap has to dual. countering bank arm is just a matter of so much marine micro... yes, it isn't easy, but who said it should be?
also, I don't believe neither fasc nor cap have to stoop so low as to tech against a mon player. not only is there no need, but I'm pretty sure they would be dead/pinned as soon as the arm was up, not to mention by the time they got to tier 3...
on a side note, I find cap v fasc games very intense and interesting. cap pretty obviously wins from the right side, and I used to think it wins from the left as well. however, I'm actually not so sure anymore. it's very close either way, but I find that even when I make micro mistakes as fasc (wrong amounts of Romans/scouts) I can still usually do very well, even against seasoned players. infant, most of my loses are because of little things, such as not compensating enough for missiles...
I won't deny fasc is significantly harder, and more micro intensive, but I'm not actually sure about who wins anymore. it's especially hard to test since not many know how to play fasc well, or cap for that matter.
well that would give the tresury a reason for living, but that would make the build too op. its resource gain is pretty even, so it can counter almost anything, plus it gets 2 inf so....yeah
