A Haiku is a Japanese lyric verse form having three unrhymed lines of five, seven, and five syllables, traditionally invoking an aspect of nature or the seasons.

Well, that said, heres the rules:

1) The Haiku must be original (no plagarizing)!
2) It must fit the weeks theme
3) It must be submitted before the deadline
4) It must be submitted for the contest (no using works previously written)
5) One Submission per user
6) The Same User cannot win twice in a row (but there welcome to submit!)

Hopefully oneday the winner could get a merit...

The Deadline will always be a Wednsday, so the deadline for the first theme will be Wednsday, September 2. The theme is The Pond

Lava

Rumbling furry shakes.
The landscape, decimated.
Through ash, life renews.

This isn't very good. I made it while I was 8 and I found it to see what you think. Remember, 8 So it's very bad.

Then why don't you make a new one and submit it, rather than post a bad Haiku.

The rules state that the haiku must be made explicitly for this contest. Sadly, I'm going to have to ask that you make a new one. Unless one is entered, yours won't be counted.

The Blossoming flower
The seedling's daughter
As the flowers are blooming
Now her life begins.

There. New one!

Riddle number one

Both creative and
destructive: a harsh lover,
but also fruitful.

@Quirinus1, the haiku doesn't match the theme for this week. Please make one that matches the theme, "Nature".

I think it does, actually. Its describing nature as a whole.

But the thing is, I don't know if he intended to match the theme or not.

He can be judged as an entry regardless, as long as the judge feels the entry is legitimate.

I love Haikus. I love them with all my soul. I'll try one to fit this contests theme.

Early Winter
The chill eases in
The leaves turn from green to gold,
Then, the first snow flies

Such a broad theme

Fall fits my fancy,
But any season will do.
nature is my home
