A Haiku is a Japanese lyric verse form having three unrhymed lines of five, seven, and five syllables, traditionally invoking an aspect of nature or the seasons.
Well, that said, heres the rules:
1) The Haiku must be original (no plagarizing)! 2) It must fit the weeks theme 3) It must be submitted before the deadline 4) It must be submitted for the contest (no using works previously written) 5) One Submission per user 6) The Same User cannot win twice in a row (but there welcome to submit!)
Hopefully oneday the winner could get a merit...
The Deadline will always be a Wednsday, so the deadline for the first theme will be Wednsday, September 2. The theme is The Pond
Hey Avorne, what about taking turns for the judging from now on? You always made the impression of a wise and thoughtful person on me and I feel you're destined to be a judge here!
Of course, Enter is always welcome to step up again as a judge ^^.
Yes! A toast to shared deityship - the fact that your post count Is nearly 666 isn't relevant at all... We're discovered Satan, what do we do now? Keep drawing pentagrams on my forehead...why ok!
Yes - luckily the only things you have to do if you worship us is have a beer every so often and enter the Haiku contest each week.
God, Big brother, Haiku judges...we really are the same; just listen to us and everything will be alright...In any case, follow Avorne's advices: submit something for the fun of it every week, stay cool and never forget that this contest's purpose is to have fun and develop our common interest in poetry...Although I would go for white wine rather than a beer ^^.
