A Haiku is a Japanese lyric verse form having three unrhymed lines of five, seven, and five syllables, traditionally invoking an aspect of nature or the seasons.
Well, that said, heres the rules:
1) The Haiku must be original (no plagarizing)! 2) It must fit the weeks theme 3) It must be submitted before the deadline 4) It must be submitted for the contest (no using works previously written) 5) One Submission per user 6) The Same User cannot win twice in a row (but there welcome to submit!)
Hopefully oneday the winner could get a merit...
The Deadline will always be a Wednsday, so the deadline for the first theme will be Wednsday, September 2. The theme is The Pond
Scented Red Roses I Water with the Hoses My Muddy Toeses!

A flower garden Pleasant, but sometimes dead But always peaceful
Its probaly the most truthful haiku of them all. Most of them were all on the 'flowers' and stuff, but this one really went a differnt path. 'Road Not Taken' and all that...
Silver Award: Manta
Vile plague of weeds, Siphoning the flower's vim. Color is no more.
I think of an uncolored coloring-book page. Pretty good, It really tells what a garden can be. And uh...
Yeah...
NEXT!
Gold Award: Shayneii
Colours and fragrance, Fluttering petals, twirling-- Peaceful mosaic.
Its alot like a traditional Japanese Haiku. Each line stops, but is wholey connected between eachother. Don't ask me how thats possible, it just IS.
Platinum-Certified Award: Bronze
Harder labor still Plowing, weeding, and sweating... Completely worth it.
Congratulations, you've just won...

Did I just win? I barely even managed to place in the last ones. My Haiku is from real experience, don't know how many times I had to get up and go pick peas...
Thanks Mav, and are you certain that we get merits?

Yeah, Carlie said that winners could get merits. You'd have to ask her for your merit though.
