Maybe we aren't much like apes physically, but we are genetically. Plus, I'm sure it's easy to imagine apes being less like humans. And like Cerene clarrified, it's a common ancestor, which probably makes it even easier to see how it oculd happen; an animal that resembles everything populates the earth with seperate DNAs of animals over time.
Anyway, I'm out for now, but I'll come back later in case you respond. See ya.
Okay I understand but I did some research just now and found out that apes are totally diverent from humans . Why do you think aids got started ? ; People eating apes . Humans are not anyting like apes exept apes have the same form as a human . An ape's brain is much smaller than a humans , I mean they have less braincells .
The reason why we actually was able to get a disease from apes is because we are close to apes. And because of evolution the two branches have divided a lot, which explains the diversity of the species. Considering that all we have is our brain rather than fur or claws or anything like it, shows that during evolution we put more focus on the brain than other things.
I dont see any other animals getting all intellegent and starting to communicate ect.
Many animals are rather intelligent, and animals are communicating with each other. Just because they do not communicate with humans or they do not use tools like we do, does not show they are not intelligent, it just shows they have gotten it is not needed to walk around with a stick, when you have claws, fx. The social structure of chimps are very equal to the social structure humans have, and we share, what is it, 98 percent of our DNA.

Birds communicate using birdsong; have you ever interacted with animals at any level? There are many that are far more intelligent then you give them credit - take another bird, the Cowbird - it uses almost 'mafia' like tactics to get other birds to raise their young for them.
Ow yea what year is it ? 2009 . Jesus Christ was born on the year zero . That is the time we work on . How is that for proof ?
That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. You know, not every country/people on the planet actually use that calendar, right? Ever hear of Chinese New Year?
The reason why western civilization uses it, is because Western Europe was predominantly Catholic, and it was a pope that asked a monk to come up with a system of dating & time based on Christ's birth - and even after he made it, they didn't start using that system for more then a century. That's not proof of God's existence. That's proof of... people using calendars.

Uhh... what? What does this have to do with the subject matter?
I am Christian to but the Bible says that God created the human species to live on Earth and be fruit full .
The bible also says there was a talking snake in a garden, the first woman was made from some dirt and a rib, a man lived in a giant fish for 3 days, and that somehow people actually physically flew into heaven....
The bible isn't the encyclopedia of knowledge, you have to realize it was written by MAN not any God/goddess/gods/higher being...
How come people dont believe in God . That is just shocking to me .
Because he's up there twiddling his thumbs when he could be helping the world NOW.
Also, because he allows such injustice to go down... even in his OWN BOOK.
Personally, I beleive there is a decent enough god up there, but he's just bored and is happy to see the chaos atm. I doubt he'll fix it though, it's just too entertaining!
Not to mention, humans and apes have very similar anatomy, ever thought of that, buddy?
I am trying to make a point here . Humans did not evolve from apes !!! No matter what you say I am sticking with my point . :[
You are failing to make that point.
Much like Lieutenut said, if you're going to be closed-minded and *never* change your opinion no matter what, there's no point in you even discussing it.
I would change my mind if there was irrefutable proof that God existed, or even if there was *much* better proof then what we currently have, it would receive more consideration - but to say there is *nothing* that can convince you, you're being obtuse.
