*sigh* An F-35 or F-16 is a great all around jet.

The whole of JFH is converting onto F35s in 2011, so that means me. Hehe.

if any i think being in the SAS would be pretty cool

Ageed, although, it's also important to bear in mind that you have a much higher risk of being killed or captured and tortured if you serve in the SAS, or any special forces regiment for that matter.

I would join the navy as a Navy Seal. My nickname would be Permaneo Militis, 'Last Soldier' in latin.

Lucky lucky, just just turn out to be the dumbazs pilot in the last Die hard movie :P

Don't worry. We Brits aren't nearly as partial to blowing up miles and miles of perfectly servicable motorway as you Americans.

you have a good point there, it really depends on what sort of missions your deployed on

The Stuka!

Really? It was probably one of the worst aircraft of it's time. The only fighter ever to need an escort.

True, but nearly all SAS deployments would be very dangerous.

I would be in the Air Force, I live in New Zealand but I would go to Australia or something so I could go in the Jets.

Codename : Jester

It's a callsign, not a codename. Also, something not out of Top Gun, it has somehwat of a stigma within the fighter community.

That was probably one of the least important factors I considered when I decided to sign up. Short of being one of the top brass, you're never going to get a great living in the forces, so I plumped for what I thought would be the most fun. Seems like a juvenile reason, but I can tell you, I don't regret it.

It's true. we Americans love explosions. In fact that's probably the only reason why most of us watch the television. Look to see if there is anything with ordanance or explosions, if there isn't well, off to potty humor and the news.
