Today is the 70th Anniversary of the invasion of Poland by Nazi Germany. 17 days later, the Soviets launched an invasion from the East and wiped Poland off the map. Not even two years later, the German-Russian alliance broke down, and the Germans invaded the Soviet Union. Over the next four years, the Soviets lost over 27 million people fighting back the Germans and toppling Nazi Germany. At the same time, the Americans pushed the Germans out of France and other Western nations hastening the collapse of the Third Reich.
World War II was the bloodiest war in history. It also required a huge sacrifice from all people of all nations to defeat Fascism. Because of the brave fight put up by the Allied Soldiers, the nations throughout Europe and the people in Japan live in a world without Fascism and militarism. It was a heroic struggle to liberate the world.
You can't pin blame for fusion on the Americans - if like you say, we speculate a secnario where they weren't involved in the war, we would still wind up having them; either the Germans if they had managed to attain victory with no western front, or the Soviets.
1) I ca pin the blam for anything on anyone I want...at least in my screwed up head =P
Germany would have been defeated. And Russia developed their weapons AFTER the Americans that's right ie in response.
2) If the Germans had managed to attain a victory with no western front? So you are workign under the assumption that without the Americans the Allies wuld have never made it back onto the mainland? And fighting would not have continued even if they didn't?
Many plans to regain a foothold on the mainland were drafted, many that didn't involve the Americans.
No, they overreacted to a couple of japanese planes crashing, sinking one ships and killing a couple of people on a small island off their coast.
Right. They overreacted to no less then 6 Japanese aircraft carriers launching a combined strike force of 420 planes at Pearl Harbour. 9 U.S.A. ships were sunk, 3 were beyond all repair, and another 18 were heavily damaged, but salvagable. The death toll was 2,350.
Perhaps you should spend more time with a history book going over Pearl Harbour.

Whaaaaaatt......*runs to grab Canadian history book*
The attack sank four U.S. Navy battleships (two of which were raised and returned to service late in the war) and damaged four more. The Japanese also sank or damaged three cruisers, three destroyers, and one minelayer, destroyed 188 aircraft, and caused personnel losses of 2,402 killed and 1,282 wounded. The power station, shipyard, maintenance, and fuel and torpedo storage facilities, as well as the submarine piers and headquarters building (also home of the intelligence section) were not hit. Japanese losses were minimal, at 29 aircraft and four midget submarines, with 65 servicemen killed or wounded.
