ForumsGamesXbox 360 or DSi?

Put simply, I got some money and don't feel the Wii fufills my gaming needs, so I have a choice to make. I know that I don't want the ps3 or psp (one is too expensive, the other has only one game that I want), but that still leaves the 360 or dsi.

They are both about the same price, and my brother already has the ds lite, so I will be able to play multi-player just about whenever I want. However, it won't expand what I can play from my wanted book (bad joke, I know and I don't care).

The other option is the 360, which will expand my wanted list by at least 15 or 20 games, but my parents won't let me do online, so that does mean that I can't get any downloadables (Portal...), but I can still do multiplayer with my brother. Also, I heard the 360 death rate has rose up to 56%, and I don't really have a job, so it will be a while until I will be able to replace it.

I can't make up my mind, but maybe you can. Thanks!

XboX 360 hands down

Why?

They deciding factor is do you want portability or not.
Thats really what it comes down to.

Well, I can always play my brother's ds, so it isn't absolutely neccisary to have portability...

PS3 is having a pertty nice price cut if that matters..
But I'd go for the 360 because I hate the DS, and you said it doesn't necessarily have to have portability.

Doesn't the PS3 cost as much as the 360 now? If it is I'd go for the PS3 ,but if you don't want that go with the 360. There are better games on it in my opinion then the DSi. I have the normal DS and I don't play it anymore. It just gathers dust.

The PS3 costs the same as 360
PSP is way better than DS

The main strongpoint of a 360 is the online (Which makes the 360 cost more because of the 60 subscription/100 network adapter) and if you can't play that then you should definitely go PS3

Short Version: Smart choice buy a PS3

You do know you can download content with a silver membership, correct? And as of a while ago, microsoft gives away a free month of gold for new silver accounts.

Get a PS3 dude, 360 costs more than the PS3 if you add the live, all of the accesosries, ect. But if you refuse to get a PS3, get a 360. Dsi is just a DS with a camera, internet and DSi ware.

Yeah, but he's not allowed online, so that doesn't matter. If you want a big game library, go 360. You don't need online multiplayer to have a good time gaming. I have an XBox, and I don't bother with online at all. Theres still at least three dozen games I want, and that's just the stuff of the top of my head. Send me a profile comment if you want some suggestions.

the main reason I said that the ps3 was too expensive was because I am under 16, so the only job I can get is from my parents. (I'm working on changing that)

Anyways, if I spend my money on a 40GB PS3 (the cheapest one available), I'm left with approx. $55 until Christmas, before games. However, I am considering the ps3, as it was my first choice. The only thing is, how likely is it that the PS3 will go on sale for Black Friday?

Eh, honestly, if it was going on sale anytime soon, we'd hear about it. If you do go for PS3, heres some tips.
-Don't bother with Resistance 2. It's like the POTC 3 of the franchise.

-Be ready to wait a while longer for games. Games like Bioshock and the Fallout 3 DLCs were 360 exclusives for about 2 years, and then re-released for PS3, in order to make more money for a sequel.

-Uncharted is better than you'll think. Imagine Tomb Raider and Indiana Jones stuck in a blender and set to puree.

i would say get a 360 cause it has plenty of good single player and offline multiplayer games and since ur family has a ds already getting a DSi is pointless.

If im not mistaken though ps3 has wifi and free online gaming so if u had wireless hotspots u could use that for online gaming.

Let's see, I don't even know what Resistance 2 is (just about anything unimportant [ps3 related] over the past year has been pretty much erased from my mind,) I'm not going to hook it up to the net, so I don't need to worry about dlcs, and I really do want uncharted; it was what made me want a ps3 to begin with.

Also, I haven't really gotten into Pirates or Indy. They're both good series', but it just isn't something I can get in to.

Uncharted was one of the best games ever made and the second will probably be the best game ever made. Especially since it has multiplayer and a full machinima and movie making mode (Puts halo 3's theater to shame)
