I'm not sure how I feel about this. On the one hand, Disney has more resources to pull from while making a movie. However if Disney executives feel it's more profitable to reach a larger pre-teen audience, will they start taking the axe to Marvel story lines.
Will Marvel movies, tv shows have to be edited (censored) to be shown on Disney channel?
One more point I want to make.
The deal underscores Disneyâs focus on growth and could herald a new wave of media consolidation, analysts said.
Is this a sign of things to come? Where Google, Walmart and Disney own everythng through some form of consolidation.
WTF!!! Disney is killing all the classics with its gayness and i thought they went low when they brought that little stupid show Hanna motanna and more... Then they brought the most gayest most retarded show ever the Jonas brothers show... now they wanna murder the image of marvel...NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! I am so ashamed of marvel...I frown apon
Now i think that Disney is on a mission... A mission to ruin all of the greatest thing that dominantly all of use teens grew up with.
But whats next? i hope to god that they dont go after cartoon net work or Nickelodeon if they do Im going to go Rambo on those preppy High school musical loving faggs) Then ill make a agreement with google giving them control of the safety of Nickeloden, Cartoon net work, and most of all MARVEL.
Disney strikes again, earlier this week Disney Interactive Studio acquired Wideload Games Inc. an indi game developer. I didn't see anything of note in their past release history. However, Alexander Serophian will join as vice president of creative development, he is one of the creators of the Halo series.
In other comic news, Warner Bros. has created DC Entertainment. It seems everything now DC related will now be run through this new division.

I'm not really into comic books or Disney stuff, but I've read/seen a few(respectively), and here's my take on the matter. I bet they'd make all the Marvel stuff "kid-appropriate"(there are a few Marvel comics that are what Disney would call bad), and that would probably mess it all up. But assume Disney didn't totally sell out over the last few years and get idiotic, some of their movies might actually translate into good comics, like Mulan might make a good comic book, or I might say Hercules if the Disney version of him wasn't retarded. I'd rant on about it all day, but you get my point. So...I don't like it currently, but if Disney fired a few hundred people, hired a good few hundred people, and went back to the way they were, I might consider it.
this cant be true... marvel is a really profitable organization and why would they agree to DISNEY, their complete opposite, buying them out? doesn't really fit together...
nickicole2424, it does in fact fit together. Let us say, that the owner(s) of Marve had enough money to last them a LONG time. We all know all companies are companies for money. They don't want to have to run a company if they already have all the money they need.
