Obama has been ordering and embarresing Israel since he first got into office. forcing them to pull out out of gaza (israel is still bombed by them, don't listen to the news) speaking with enemies over what Israel has done, and even argued wether Jerusalem should be the capital. Please tell me your opinion.
gaza has been bombing Israel months before they fought back, even now, after Israel pullled out, they have been bombing city after city. Israel fought back, and there invasion is all anyone will report on.
God. I am sick and tired of people bashing Bush without REAL eveidence. Do you have any conclusive examples that show concrete evedence that bush destroyed or totally ruined something he shouldn't have? Besides stem cell research and that sorta thing in general. -_-
Back on topic, I think that for any President cutting ties with Israel would be a big mistake. I dont know what Mr. Obama has done with Diplomatic Relations over the matter, but still. Look at it militarly. Alot of the US' enemies are in the middle east. Israel and Turkey are good stepping stones to attack any country over there. Yes, Obama is pulling out troops, but the deadline is 2012, and thats still a good 3 years. Economicaly speaking, a decent size chunk of Isralie youths come to the US for additinal education (Universityes, degrees, etc). Is the Us were to slash ties with Israel, the Isrealie youths probaly wouldn't come to the US, or atleast not in the same numbers.
Plus that would make America look like a bunch of douches. Also, this would harm Egypt's and Jordan allience with America. They have a peace treaty with Israel, and a good part of money from selling weapons comes from Egypt. We can't be sure wigtch side they would choose.
