The fact that you can say "there is no freedom of speech" without getting in trouble proves that there is freedom of speech in America. I can say "I hate Obama (or Bush, or whichever politician)" and not get in trouble. That proves we have freedom of speech.
To those who claim America (or some other European nation) doesn't have freedom of speech, you have no idea.
Well there is no freedom of speech in school, you say something and it'll be a one way ticked to the Principal's office.
If you just say something ridiculous, then yes you'll probably get in trouble. However, if you say something against the school or whatever it is, and you have logical reasons, they might listen to you. One problem with students is that they automatically start freaking out and yelling about something the school does wrong, instead of organizing their thoughts and bringing it up at the appropriate time. Which isn't the middle of math class.

Really? I didn't know I did this....weird.
Honestly, it depends on what you view "free speech" as. If you think its saying anything you want anywhere, than no, free speech isn't really free speech. In a way, we don't have free speech, we have freer speech. In some country's you can be prosecuted for things like speaking out against the government, while here you're protected by law. On the other hand, we're still prosecuted for saying certain things. If its racism, you can be charged with things connected to that like disturbing the peace, but you can't be directly charged for saying it. There is no completely free speech.
If free speech isn't real, you couldn't ask this question.
Yes...you could. It depends on who is in charge of controlling speech. If they don't want you saying it, than you might be prosecuted for saying it, but certain things can still be said without free speech, its not like you can't ask questions anymore, it simply depends on the questions your asking
