This morning I was awoken by my alarm clock powered by electricity generated by the public power monopoly regulated by the US department of Energy. I then took a shower in the clean water provided by the municipal water utility. After that, I turned on the TV to one of the FCC regulated channels to see what the national weather service of the national oceanographic and atmospheric administration determined the weather was going to be like using satellites designed, built, and launched by the national aeronautics and space administration. I watched this while eating my breakfast of US department of agriculture inspected food and taking the drugs which have been determined as safe by the Food and Drug Administration.
At the appropriate time as regulated by the US congress and kept accurate by the national institute of standards and technology and the US naval observatory, I get into my national highway traffic safety administration approved automobile and set out to work on the roads built by the local, state, and federal departments of transportation, possibly stopping to purchase additional fuel of a quality level determined by the environmental protection agency, using the legal tender issued by the Federal Reserve Bank.
On the way out the door I deposit any mail I have to be sent out via the US postal service and drop the kids off at the public school. After work, I drive my NHTSA car back home on the DOT roads, to my house which has not been burned down in my absence because of the state and local building codes and fire marshal's inspection, and which has not been plundered of all it's valuables thanks to the local police department.
I then log on to the internet which was developed by the defense advanced research projects administration and Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin tells me how Obama is an evil communist socialist nazi terrorist muslim fascist who wants to create DEATH panels, and left ANY mention of ANY death panels out of the bill so we wouldn't know.

I actually called a lot of what he said "socialist propaganda" on one of his threads. And I agree, for some reason he is very charismatic on this website...
However not all socialism is bad, like I also said before. Stuff like health care, medicine, stuff that should be given out of morals and not because of the costs should be socialized. However businesses and factories SHOULDN'T be socialized because that is too much government power.
And for some reason whenever I say something against what votsocialist says he never responds to me I wish he would once, it would be fun to debate him.

Thank you. Socialism the way I see it; is a balance between regulation and freedom. If we adopted a more socialistic policy we could in theory have all of that. But we should also keep those in charge in check as well. Its a balancing act
Hopefully after people read the OP they realize how many industries are already nationalized, how much they benefit us, and how good life could be if even more industries were nationalized.

How could it be beneficial to nationalize all businesses? That would be giving the government a monopoly and could run up the costs as much as they want. There should be other businesses to compete with nationalized ones and vise versa (if there were to be nationalized businesses that is). That way there would be no worry of ridiculous prices. Not to mention the high taxes that would have to be paid, which is the problem with pure socialism.
Even Bears know that socialism is not the government ownership of the corporations but rather the workers control of the means of production.
