So, its been one day since my appendectomy, so I go out of my house, to get some fresh air. I walk out, and my freaking neighbor comes up to me, and say's "So, your friends told me you got appendicitis, you know, if you believed in god, he wouldn't of given you such a thing." I just laugh and say, "I don't need to believe in a imaginary thing." the dude get's all pissed and goes, "Ya know, you are going to go straight to hell, you don't believe in god?! You are the most ignorant person I have ever met.", after he said that I just laughed it off and said, "Um, ya know, it doesn't really count, if the only people you talk to are church goers." then he get's all pissed, and starts reciting verses from the bible, and I just go, "Shut the hell up. Don't get all butt hurt because I don't believe in him, you can go ahead and believe in him, I ain't doing anything to offend you." and the dude goes, "I am not trying to offend you, I am just trying to save a pathetic soul!" which gets me a tiny bit pissed, and I just shrug it off, and go, "Sorry, but my 'Pathetic Soul' doesn't need saving by an imaginary being." and then he just gets all pissed, and I just walk back inside...

Was I being an ass to him or something? I don't think I did/say anything to offend him.

I think Catholic, I am not too sure, this is only my third time talking to him. And he's around mid 30's or early 40's.

Well, the old threads are experiencing this problem but newly created threads aren't effected, and I think they've almost completely solved the problem.

Hmmm...In my experience its usually older people who act like that. Its something about getting stubborner as you get older or something like that. When your older you stick to what you think and dont easily change your mind.
