I live in a hick town, with hickish rules. Were supposedly not "Aloud" to carry knives over 2 inches, but everyone just follows the "If the blade isnt longer than the width of your palm".
Weve had a few expulsions before, cause people like to show them off. If you look on a guys pocket, you will likely see the clip to your pants thing on the blade handle.
So what im asking is do you think this is okay? And whats the weapons rules at your school?
Schools are a safe environment-and in some cases-much safer than the surrounding neighborhoods. Just this morning,some kid on Figueroa Blvd. in LA got stabbed twice in the hip by a couple of thugs,but was able to survive because he ran to the local high school that was fortunately two blocks away.
And yes,I've been shanked by a crazed 8th grader with a pecil before,12 times actually. He just kept coming and coming. Still got a couple holes in me btw.

Is the length restriction from hilt to tip, or just the blade? Cause I carry one with me everywhere I go, and it's longer than two inches only counting the blade. I just slip it into my boot when I go out :P
At my school, knives aren't allowed, period. Immediate expulsion/suspension if you bring one and try to hide it. But if you like, had a knife in your backpack that you left there over the weekend by accident, and then you turn it in to your teacher, you won't get in too bad trouble. Your "knives no longer than _" rule is kind of dumb. What's the point of length? Although pencils can be used as sharp weapons. Thank god those things don't have lead in them anymore.
Any school-goer can find a better weapon than that on campus. Although I have been shanked with one... Hurts like hell. I think the kid that got me was almost expelled.
Chup florglee, that's right, I use my pocketknife for fishing a lot, to get the hook out of the fish's mouth and to clean them, but the point is, we're talking about knife rules in school. There won't be any fishing or camping in school. Just slashing and shanking.
Man, we get criminal charges and usually expulsion when a knife is found on you. Zero tolerance. A buddy of mine got his car searched because a drug dog smelled something. They found a pocket knife he had forgotten about under the seat and he was suspended. No drugs or anything.

In SoCal,they don't allow anything sharp at schools-period. This one kid found a piece of PVC pipe on the way to school,showed it off to his friends,and was suspended for two days after a teacher caught him.
