say some1 had a good thread and the thread had lots of posts so after a few hours he checked and couldnt read all the posts because more dept coming so if he recived an e mail saying some1 posted on his thread je could keep up with all the post

Umm no. That's just a lot of trouble to get emails all the time for everything you've made. Especially if you are active on the site.

Yeah, if notifications with profile comments weren't bad enough...

I can see 10 e-mails per hour with a good thread if that really happened.

I'd say no, unless they let us customize it.

First, whether or not we want notifications from the thread (maybe check something by the title), for how long (time period or post count), etc.

I don't want to have 100 emails in my inbox after school from a thread I posted in once.
