People have already lost a bit of interest in Colony and if there's no hype about new versions, it will die
agreed. colony does have less people than when it first started.
I think it's safe to say that I agree with you guys. At first, I thought that a Colony 2 wasn't needed. However, my perspective changed. Colony has tons of bugs and the other Colony 2 could has some features Colony doesn't have:
Colony bugs that I've witnessed before taking a break:
- Null bug (you get nulled 4+ times randomly in a game).
- Rank resets.
- Fire animation doesn't play, so units randomly explode.
- You need to add somebody on your friend list just to mute somebody. -_-
- Charge glitch (units that fire only at ground units fire at air units, and units that fire only at air units fire at ground units).
- Resource glitch (money, manpower, energy, and influence changes).
- Building glitch (white blocks, person making tier 3 units when you see tier 2 buildings only, etc.).
There are probably more bugs, but that's all I can remember.
Features Colony 2 could have:
- Multiple backgrounds.
- More units (such as sea tanks, but this is only an idea)
- A better story line, and a longer one.
- A system that allows you to make private games along with public games.
- More buildings (like one or two more, but I can't think of examples).
- Cpu players that can actually think on different difficulties and not get an insane amount of units in a short amount of time. (at hard difficulty at Colony, cpus make 5 chronite tanks, then another 10 snipers right after making the tanks at the very beginning of the game).
There are probably more features that Colony 2 can have (if made), but those will give more diverse amounts of strategies without the bugs (mentioned bugs about Colony) in the way.
