If you have'nt heared the news, Halo : ODST has been released today if you are intrested in buying the game it may be around £/$45 maybe £/$50+ if you buy the bonus pack aswell which is you are able to play Sgt.Johnson . The game is a major release. There are previews on Youtube.com for the 1st misson which I have seen I will give some info on the game but not to much because that would just ruin the entire game for you. You are a ODST (Orral De Shock Trooper) About to drop down into a covenat ship but the ship gos lightspeed and you and your team go off course which is leading you to a planet where I don't know but you may be the only surviver from the crash of the squadrin.

Well, my friend got the game at the midnight release, and then we stayed up playing through the campaign. You do, indeed, need to collect health. Being a regular human, you do not have an overshield, so getting shot actually damages you. The game takes place on Earth, and I'm pretty sure it's immediately after the first level of Halo 3. The game has a heavier emphasis on story, and I actually thought it was very well done. It gets points in my book for having Nathan F. as the main character, as I loved Firefly. It's quite short, more of an expansion pack than a full game, but I think the changes and additions it made were good. I had a lot of fun with it.

No it takes place early on in Halo 2, after the slip space jump. You have some unreliable information.
Well, I can't quite remember the full chronology of Halo... It takes place right after you're on Earth fighting the giant scarab. I haven't played any of the old games in ages, so I don't remember which one that is. But, the whole game takes place scouring the remains of the destroyed Earth city after the jump.

the new maps for halo3 i would have to say are really nice, especially heretic and longshore.
