Ninja Warrior definately means more to the people of Japan, it is a real test of strength,agility,and endurance. It is a major event only coming once (twice?) a year bringing in real atheletes and isn't really about being funny.
Wipeout is about the laughs for sure.
You also forgot about MXC, which I find funnier than wipeout.

Yes it has laughs, but I was stating that Wipeout's main catch is about the laughs, it doesn't give that feeling I get when I see somebody using their last amount of strength to try and complete the last obstacle of the third stage.
Ninja Warrior just because Wipeout is complete crap They have two smart asses saying over-used non humorous garbage every time anything happens "Oh look, a bird, ITS FLYING OH LOOK HAHA YOU DONT SEE THAT EVERYDAY!" "Sure don't bob, sure dont.." *laugh* I mean wtf..?
I prefer Ninja Warrior, it's more of a test, I don't have to read subtitles or anything, theres this English dude who talks in the background, he's quite funny actually. I just think Wipeout gets a bit boring, once you've seen one episode, most of them are the same. Whereas I can't get board of watching Ninja Warrior.
