Well, I found the "somewhat original" thread discussing pokemon in the tavern

As for me? Pokemon Gold was the best age for pokemon in my opinion, yet as the seasons went on, all they did was make the game more detailed in less-pokemon-wise functions. Yes, the pokemon in generation 4 is horrible, but that's not to say that the environment in the game isn't either. Generation 4 actually went 4 steps higher than that of generation 1, 2, and 3.

Pokemon is great, if people don't like it don't come here to dis it... I hope Pokemon keeps up the good work...

The people who still like Pokemon in this world are just clueless 4 year olds and 30 year olds who have nothing in their life.

Played it when I was a child and left it back there.
