do you think they should add games like tetris or old mario games?
Ask a gamemaker to submit one, and it will appear as long as the game is made by the gamemaker and not being a simple ripoff on an old videogame, which it seems you want. If you want to play them, get an emulator.
Also, copyright infridgement is not welcome on AG, which means getting games with a trademarked character most likely will not get approved.
I mean, there are games out there that mimic old games, but aren't necessarily them entirely. Take for example, Super Mafia Bros, and that one game that is like F-Zero. They are all like the old games, by taking their concepts, but the overall game is different.
You can probably ask a willing developer to make a game similar to one you want most and see if it will follow through.
To those that don't know: It's a console on your PC. Imagine a Wii or Nintendo 64 on your screen.

I wouldn't like it if Nintendo sued AG for publishing an arcade Mario game.
Cenny has a point: For the arcade games(That's about the most retro you can get) you need an emulator, probably for every game. It couldn't be simply converted to a flash file(Like the games on AG) because there is (Of my knowledge) no converter for that. You'd have to completely code it yourself.

On Newsground there are loads of Mario games, if you ask nicely they might add the games here.
Example look at the game 99 Bricks of Gary Legend. Thats a twisted version of Tetris. These games are welcome, as long as there not totally ripped, like if it was normally Tetris. Then we could get bunch of these games ;P
But then they aren't the actual game, right? And if you want to copy, say a Mario game, you have to know the secrets of every level(Heck, you'd have to complete the game first too).
they should get games like pacman
Yeah, I think even beginner developers are able to make a game like Pac-man, all you need to do is make a few levels and code the ghost computer intelligence.

Yeah, and a fun game if you like puzzle games. Will keep you occupied a long time.

I believe though that Tetris is one of the most ripped games ever. It was an original game, and I think it's a good idea if you're a beginner coder.

The reason AG doesn't have an enormous amount of games is because they are very selective: They only allow very good games or ones made by their developers. The good thing is that because almost every game on AG is top quality.
